ok, so guys i’m wondering on this 13" macbook pro, i have a november 2009 macbook 13" model, but i wanna upgrade but for storing all my music i’d figure 1 tb internal hard drive configured on my next purchase would be perfect… but what’s this flash drive all about, the max you can do is 756 gb hard drive… am i missing something or why would djs not do the internal hard drive rather than flash drive storage on these new macbook pros based on how much u can save hard drive space wise?

Flash drives are more portable
What I have understood is that the new flash drives are a new type of hard disk.
Normal hard disk are rotating magnetic disks. The writing speed to these are limited.
Flash drives are the same type of memory as your USB stick, Smarthphone memory, or SD card. It’s a card with a electronic circuit on it.
Flash drives are far more faster because data on several places on those drives can be accessed at the same time, while on a regular ‘spinnin’ hard disc, the reading rod can be only at one place at the time. So the flash drives are multiple times faster than your normal harddisk.
Since flash discs are currently highly expensive, most people use it to install their Operating program (Windows, Linux, OS X) so that program will work faster. You can also install your DAW on their or your DJ program and your tracks and that will be loaded faster.
i’d go with flash drives….
