acapellaKeymasterThis is a very interesting concept for us all @ ACAPELLAS4U.
Something we have been thinking about for a while. To aid you in all aspects of your productions. You’ve got the pellas now have some quality sounds.
AS you know u can never have enuff quality samples.
These small sample-packs would cover as many genres of music/instruments as our sample producer(s) could cope with. Of course there would be a small charge incurred for downloading such premium sample-packs.
And at this stage we don’t have anymore detail than this. But would something like this be of interest to you as a producer if ACAPELLAS4U did this ?
Leave some text.

djspennyParticipantMaking donations is one thing, but unless you own the samples surely it is highly illegal to directly sell them for commercial gain?

junoParticipantdan_wsdm wrote:Only problem comes with trying to track copyright issues – i.e. how do you ensure that someone really has produced the samples they upload…That idea for members to upload their own samples probably wouldnt happen because of that. When I’m creating drum loops I usually either sample drums from other tracks and massively edit them or just get my bro to pull out his set and give me some set hits to work with. I’m not sure if the first way is entirely legal.
I’d have to hear some of these samples before I knew whether or not I’d buy them. I always need good quality samples though.

acapellaKeymasterPerhaps this wasn’t clear enuff.
[quote:14px6mfw]Would you buy “Exclusively” hand-crafted, professionally made samples?[/quote:14px6mfw]
‘Exclusively’ meaning EVERY sample we OWN as we have a very good selection of producers who do exactly this. Pro sample creators.
Forget about any copyright issues guys as there are none because of the above.
I hope that clears that area up a little bit.

heinzParticipantdefinitely maybe !
worth considering & im presuming value for money would be guaranteedAdSense 336x280January 14, 2005 at 11:17 am #568200
djspockParticipantI would buy samplepacks, for the small premium charged it helps the running of this board and you can never have enough samples. With regard to copyright issues, chop them, skew them, twist them, thats what its all about, creating your own sound!!

weetoeParticipantI also agree with kingkutter, Ive bought several sample cds from different places all claiming to be “high quality professional sounds” and when I recieved them I was let down…. You also have to factor in the price of the sounds. I would probably be interested in some instruments depending on the quality of the sounds. Are you planning on mapping the instruments across the keyboard or would it be just one sample.

marcicanoParticipantI THINK CRAFTING A INSTRUMENTAL THAT CAN MATCH THE REGULAR ONE WOULD BE GOOD LIKE SONGS THAT ARE HARD TO CREAT A INSTRUMENTAL WOULD BE GOOD, U KNOW THE ONES THAT HAS WORDS IN ALMOST EVERY DAMN SECTION, MAKING IT WHERE U HAVE TO TAKE SECTIONS AND PUT THEM TO GETHER TO MAKE A LOOP THEN MAKE A INSTRUMENTAL THEN MABY, BUT IF U HAD A SECRET WAY OF GETTING MP3 FORMAT SONGS TO CANCEL OUT VOCALS THAT WOULD BE SWEET,

acapellaKeymasterWe wanted a 75% vote to go ahead with this so for now we’ll put it on the back burner and just keep an eye out for the “Freebies” section for now.
Thanks to all 6.7% of the total members who could be arssed to vote.. still a very poor number of you voting – too busy leechin’ to give a toss I s’pose..
