i have an old vinyl i want to make an acapella from. it contains the original mix 5mins 40secs, and an instrumental tmin 07secs. is it possible to extract the vocals? i was told both tracks must be the same length to work.
AND IM FINDING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND ANY ORIGINAL WITH AND INSTRUMENTAL OF THE SAME LENGTH.
please help…
cheers!

It all depends. Because vinyl is essentially physical acoustical sound amplified by electronics the sound of each track will vary due to imperfections in the press, no two points on a record are exactly alike. Another problem is in the rate of speed at which a record player turns. Unless you’re using a professional player the speed will vary and your tracks will be next to imposible to match.
