Different kinds of Rap

Lately I have been searching for alternate forms of rap, not your "catch me ridin dirty" but raps that have a lyrical meaning other than gangsta lifestyles. The two major artists for me with that "alternative rap" are Lady Sovereign and Fort Minor. Fort Minor has such lyrical depth in their songs, it makes you think about what they’re saying, not trying to divert attention to the dance (snap your fingers, lean back, etc.) or to the annoying ding/clap/snap/bell/alarm sound or series of sounds that come every half-second. Lady SOV’s songs may not have much lyrical meaning, but at least they are different. No annoying beeps, no telling me to dance, no one getting shot up on the block. That’s why I like her. Also cause she’s beating the odds by being a female white rapper from UK.

So, everyone, do you hear what I’m saying?
Also, could you tell me some other "alternative rappers" cause I’d like to know more.
