We’ve all heard Detox get its shoutouts in a bunch of Aftermath-produced songs, but I’m pretty sure it was supposed to be out by now… plus I thought I heard a song with Dre in it (can’t remember who it was with) where he said something like "so what if I dropped Detox"… is this one of those "what might have been" CD’s or will it still happen?

he says he has given it up to spend more time relaxing but he is stil going to produce beats because if he was going to bring it out it would be this year because it would of been 7 years since 2001 came out because that came out in 1999 and his first solo album The Chronic came out in 1991 sevan years before 2001 came out. sad news that he isn’t doiiing detox though

Apparantly Detox was actually supposed to be an album full of beats he had produced. No lyrics. But then he realised he could make more money selling the beats to artists so put Detox on hold to just use his beats on others’ songs. Then he decided to bring out an album of his NEW stuff. It’s not definately happening & it’s not definately not happening.

A dunno if that’s true, just heard it a while back.

haha wow, looks like there’s lots of info floating around! awesome!

I just talked to my one buddy and he said Dre IS flooding the market with beats, but its to generate buzz for his stuff again. Detox WILL be out in 2007, but he’s focusing on getting new members of Shady Records and Aftermath off the ground first (lots more $$$ in that in the long run).

Oh well, I guess I’ll hafta stick with 2001 for another year at least…

i just serched it on google and it came up on MTV’s site saying it will not be out till late 2004 i think there abit out of date there lol i hope it does come out there are a few songs that are suposd to be on it foating around like Hear We Go Again ft The Game and The Showdown with Eminem and My Life wich is on the DJ Cobra mixtape get it’s got some good stuff on it

Dre needs to stop signing people because whenever he does, he stops working on detox and helps them put there album together

there was some news about him producing some new raekwon shit, so if that helps(hinders) in furthering the production of detox, then what the hell.

Av got a feeling there’s gonna be a disappointing result with this album if he does bring it out. It doesn’t seem he’s focused on it.

There’s way too much hype about it & there’s not even a definite asnwer about it coming out or not.

He has a handful of Aftermath in house producers that are doing tracks for the Detox album, Hi-Tek, J.R. Rotem, Focus, etc…as well as Super Producer Just Blaze. So I don’t think it will be entirely produced by Dre himself.

When its coming is the biggest question.
