coojuiceParticipantThe charts last year was a funny one.
In terms of most played"Commercially" surprisingly Snow Patrol ruled the year.
Dance wise(again commercially) I don’t think there was many "new tunes" came out. Was all this Clubland remix rubbish that the younger generation seemed to love.
Some of this was ok but but it all sounds exactly the same, plus the original songs were better.
Some original tracks I think stood out last year for me where:
Fedde Le Grand – Put Your Hands Up(For Detroit)
Mason – Exceeder
Blake Baxter – The Club
Plus some remix/samplers that were big:
Supermode – Tell Me Why Sampling Bronski Beat – Small Town Boy
Bob Sinclair – Rock This Party(Everybody Dance Now) Sampling C+C Music Factory – Gonna Make You Sweat(Everybody Dance Now)
And of course, Eric Prydz vs Pink Floyd – Proper Education
Biggest dance tune of the year for me was: Chicane – Stoned in Love
p.s. Bob Sinclair has been around since the 90s…

… got played on local radio, released on cd, released on promo & got airplay in New York & every A&F store in North America… quite an accomplishment for a remix made out of anger lol
