brapkoParticipanti was suprised at how good Will Smith actually was.. the guy’s got some lyrics. and if he can bump it with the rest like snoop dogg, pharrell and t.i., then gone with it… 2pac was good.. but i wouldnt have ne problems saying he wasnt the best rapper.
Tha Roc is all i gotta say.

2GSParticipantWill Smith has turned in both some great performances and decent beats, despite others labeling him as hip-hop’s John Tesh. He’s too inoffensive for my taste, but it works!
Ice Cube certainly works hard in films now, though often I question his role choices (sorry, I didn’t care for Are We There Yet or Ghosts of Mars). I love his back catalog from N.W.A. to his first 3 solo records, but his latest material concerns me.
So I have to go with mighty Mos Def. The guy has a great string of both mainstream/indie tracks/guest spots and film roles (16 Blocks and Hitchhiker’s Guide come to mind). But that’s my take.

MelParticipantPac is probably the epitome of the Rapper / Actor. Nobody will ever do it like dude. Juice, Bullet, Poetic Justice…nuff said. I think dude could have probably done it all if he had been here a little longer.
Now, Ice Cube–that’s my favorite rapper / actor. Some of ya’ll are hating on his latest material like are "We There Yet?" Even though I didn’t care for it that much, I admire what he was trying to do, which is show the other side of the black culture. Most rapper / actors do the same ol’ shit. They rap hardcore, then get a movie role as a drug lord, gangster, or what have you. That’s not acting, that’s called staying in your lane. Pac proved he was an actor with the Poetic Justice role, with the GridLock’d role, and with the Gang Related role (even though Gang Related sucked). Cube has proven his acting and mic skills, too. Can’t forget about Ice-T (damn good actor), Queen Latifah, and Ludacris has some promising skills, too (just needs a little fine-tuning).
Gotta big up Will Smith, too.
50 hasn’t proved shit, and Eminem hasn’t either. My opinions, though

jadmanParticipantI’d pick Ice Cube, He does movies but never lowers the quality of his music. I think he does both equally. Will Smith seems like he does more acting than rapping. I like his old music more anyway.

xscaped26ParticipantGotta say Will Smith. I don’t think 2pac ever did any roles that were really a stretch from who he really is..and how can u call that good acting?
