hey, I’ve got a load of crap on my pc and there stopping me from accessing any anti virus or anti malware sites.
has any one got the latest update files for avg so i can put them in the update folder without having to go on the avg site please.

can you put them onto a file sharing site pleae. as i said, i can’t access the avg site.

im not too sure about the updates tbh , i thote that they had to download directly onto yer pc otherwise its kinda stealing …. ( im inocent )

I don’t think its illegal to distribute AVG free updates, I think they just recommend you only get them from AVG so you know they haven’t been tampered with.

I think the problem is having to upload 40+mb of data. Which on a line that downloads at 1Mbps (or 1000kbps, or "10Mb" as the marketing wonks like to say) but only uploads at 40kbps is a pain in the butt. Especially if your line is one of those that download speeds are affected by the upload bandwith you are using!

However, you can get AVG Free from the download area (). MajorGeeks is a site that CAN be trusted and is a site used by 1000’s of people a day when trying to rid their PC’s of virus and other such ailments! And I most certainly wouldn’t recommend it on here if I didn’t think it could be trusted!!

Ahh, I know what the problem is… MajorGeeks uses a (time limited) SessionID to stop people from direct linking to the downloads… Like I did!!

but how do ya actually get AVG , my laptops been runnin slow as a turtle for a while but i cant afford to get a virus protection thing atm
