Hey folks,
Getting a bit tired of being excluded from a long number of nifty PC audio software. Considering trying Virtual PC (PC emulator for Mac) and installing.
Anyone been there? Any suggestions/tips?
Cheers,
Copycat

hey mate, thanks. so, are they like the same thing? a PC emulator of sorts?
Ok. Check! Thanks, mate. I actually AM considering getting a new Mac, with big f**k-off capacity Me old G4 power book has def seen better days…
Thanks again – appreciate it. I might be back to pick your brains…
Keep in mind that Bootcamp or Parallels will only run on Inter-based Macs. If you have a PPC Mac (like me) your stuck with Virtual PC to run Windows software. Like rbaile28 said it’s very slow, so actually not any use at all.
I have an old iMac G5 with 2GB RAM. Running the simplest MP3 mixing software for Windows (Acoustica’s MP3 Audio Mixer) inside Virtual PC gives me a whopping 3 tracks (!!) to play simultaneously before things start to stutter and hickup all together.
For real serious audio-editing, just don’t use software inside an emulator… or better yet, don’t ever use any Windows software at all.
