WillyColeParticipantI haven’t figured out how to set a seperate speed for an acc and an inst in Acid. If Anyone knows, I would be really happy to know, that way I could cut and paste accs and arrange them, vs my current method which is just to mix them with PCDJ.
I hope what I’m asking is clear, if not, in ACID 4:
1. I lay down an inst on track one.
2. I lay down an acc on track two.
3 I change the tempo/bpms, but it doesn’t just change for the acc, it changes for the inst too! Can anyone PLEASE give me a step by step guide? I don’t know much music recording vocab (it took me like an hour to understand what ‘flipping’ is), so if you can use real simple vocab that would be wicked. Thanks and peace,

da Air-RicParticipantyou just have to open the window "clip properties". There you can change the tempo for every track individually.
If you can’t find this window, just go to: View=> Clip Properties and then it should be on your screen….
hope i could help you……

DjMannySa714ParticipantYep You Can Just Open Up The Clip Properties
Changing The Type As ‘One-Shot’
Without Changing The Track Speed For All Of Them..

WillyColeParticipantThanks for your replies guys, but I can’t find ‘clip properties’.
I checked all the menues and even searched in Help.
I have Acid 4.0. Do you think there might be a different command?
Thanks again!

djmec5ParticipantHey everyone! New to the message boards. Anyways, I hope I can help with your problem. All you do is:
1. right-click on the track (not the waveforms but the box that has the track name and volume level and all that stuff for the track).
2. Then a little window pops up and you click on "Properties…" (It is the last option on the list).
3. After that, it’ll open a new window. In the window there are 2 tabs. One says "General" and will be automatically selected when the window opens up. Make sure under this tab that the "Track Type" is set to "Beatmapped".
4. Once you make sure the track is in beatmapped form, you click on the other tab that says "Stretch".
5. There are 3 options, the middle one in the list being Original Tempr (BPM) and then a place that has the Beats Per Minute that will have been set by the beatmapper. Now just change that number to whatever you want to make it faster or slower.
I hope this helps you. If you have anymore questions just ask.

jimmyjamsParticipantGood topic,
When ever I try to use the beatmapper and beatmatch a really slow acapella with some uptempo music, it just sounds funny cause its going too fast. Because the acapellas dont have to be matched at the same tempo ive always wanted to know how to do this……. I’ll go see if it works.AdSense 336x280May 14, 2007 at 7:02 pm #621458
BouncyBeatzParticipantif it sounds really funny just pitch stretch the vocal down to make it sound slower but it will be actually playing at the same speed
