Here’s my entry:

This is a mash up.
The instrumental used is "Moog Island" by Morcheeba.
The Mp3 is 320 bit and it’s length is 4:40.

I used "Audition 2.0" mostly and a bit of subtle help from my trusty old groovebox.

So this is an original production then? Please be certain to express this explicitly. I see from the download link this is a mashup. Please be sure to read through the regulations thoroughly… if you post a mashup you MUST post the track that you mixed it with.

Please edit your post with the correct information, as I don’t want to have to disqualify your mix. Thanks

I will refrain from posting comments on mixes at this point in the competition to keep things unbiased. I want people to be able to come to their own conclusions about a mix, without anyone elses opinions to thwart them one way or the other. I urge others to do the same… thanks

There will be voting on each track, this way people come up with their own opinion, and don’t just go with someones track cuz everyone else is. People can take a mental note of what songs they like/dislike… and the reasons for this. Voting will go up once the top 5 songs have been chosen. Hopefully you’ll cast a vote bro

I’ll choose the songs to go through to the polls, and those 5 will go up on the Aca4u MySpace page. Then the winner will be chosen from the top 5 tracks based on votes.

Since this is a hip hop/ r&b forum , i tried to make the song with that in mind . The lyrics talk about a bumpin beat , so chose an instrumental that has a nice groove and a good bass beat .

I use MixMeister Fusion 7.1.1 on a HP notebook .

The instrumental is called Freaky Love , and it is from http://www.rockitpro.com

Time is running out people… the competition closes TOMORROW!! Only 3 people have submitted their mix.

If you guys want more time, let me know. If I don’t get any replies however, competition will close and we’ll be forced to go with the 3 entries we’ve received. Eyez… I know you got in abit late so let me know if you’d like more time to get your song submitted.

I want to have as many mixes put forward as possible, so get a move on and get those entries in!

Is it too late? I just realized this site is like 6 hours ahead from where I am. For the record this was submitted 4/8/09 at 7:20pm my time. I realize that it says gmt right in the rules but I guess I didn’t think about it.

The 4 mixes that have been submitted have been accepted, and I will wait for eyez mix till tomorrow.

The remanding 3 participants have been disqualified… since I did not hear back from them and have not heard that they need more time.

As of tomorrow, I will have 5 mixes… and since there are only 5, I will not be choosing the mixes for the polls… all 5 will go to the polls…. provided eyez does indeed submit his mix by tomorrow.

I will create the poll thread tomorrow and leave the polls open for all to view and vote… and after a week or so I’ll announce the winners and the bonus downloads will be awarded to the 1st place finisher… and because I’m in a good mood, all 5 will appear on MySpace, in order of popularity. That’s right… all 5 mixes will be up on MySpace!!

Look forward to seeing how the mixes are judged… we’ll see you all tomorrow!

Excellent!! 5 out of 9 of you submitted tracks… that’s not a bad turn out at all!

I’m very pleased with each of these… and look forward to seeing how they do in the polls. I’m very busy over the next little while, however I hope to get these songs up on MySpace asap for all to preview!
