So I spent some time this morning finding a half-decent screen recording tool (free of course) which I could use to show the world some of the new features of the new acapellas4u website we’ve got up our sleeves.

The first video shows the ‘Browse Artists’ section of the new website which I hope you’ll agree is pretty bloody snazzy!.

Whilst watching the video, remember to click the FULL-SCREEN icon in the bottom right and to also be wary that I’ve added sub-titles too. Quite a bit of additional information in there.

Well, erm, actually, as much as it pains me to admit I made a boo-boo. I made a boo-boo. As CCM clearly stated, it’s working now.

So, no comments on the new browsing? Ah it makes it all worthwhile, it really does

But really, is that a flash based table with integrated sorting by column AND alpha-magical drill-down navigation on the left? Fantastic!

Please don’t tell me it’s based on Flash or Java. Looks very "Windowsy" and slow from that video.

The UI itself is more usable than what we have, but I somehow expected more.

I like the looks of it from the demo video, but will there eventually be functionality to filter by more than one criteria? For instance can I get it to sort first by best bitrate and then alphabetically?
