First I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all participants in this amazing Lisa Stansfield contest!! As I said from the beginning, this is an old classic track and was a BIG BIG favorite tune of mine back then!
I have been delayed casting my votes, BUT last night me and a close friend made an whole theme evening of it,listening to all contributions, drinking (loads of) beer and spirits, and just enjoyed the variations and ideas that you’ve all managed to come up with! I promise; we haven’t had so much fun in a long time!
We selected 4 personal runner up’s and then choosed 2 of them that we decided to spread the 10 points on!

For an creative and fantastic way you worked with the vocal, the harmonies are brilliant at some parts, altough we wanted them to be a bit louder. As posted at 96 kbps (why??) – the soundquality was great anyway. Would love to hear it with proper quality!

The way you worked with the bridge in the vocal was great, really shows that you know what you are doing!

Overall it felt that many of you guys didn’t work WITH the vocal, that is a great tip for the future, listen to the vocal , make some melodies and chords around it, take care of the parts in the vocal that is special, do the beats and get the timing right ontop of that etc.
You all have great ideas and it was, as I said ; – a hell lot of fun listening to all this!!
