I’m a member of soulseek records and we did something similar along these lines a while back.

The idea was called 2MM (Two minute Massacre) – basically anyone interested in taking part put there name up. The dudes behind the label chose randomly – the idea being that person #1 creates a 2min track with an easy 15-20 sec outro part. Person #2 would HAVE to start his/her track using elements from the outro of person #1 (the person before them)

So basically what we ended up with was a fairly lengthy continual mix.

No doubt this same process could be adopted here.

One thing I do remember though is that it was a logistical nightmare and certainly proved to be a challenge for the Master Engineer. Onbviously you can imagine all the issues faced with dealing with tracks from all over the place with various levels etc etc…

Just wanted to add that info into this ‘good idea’ thread.
