Method 1 though is quite tricky to get them satrting at the exact same time on audacity.

Hi Guyz, I've been following this post thread, and I am very new at this, so I will appreciate if someone can further explan option number one of the original post. I undestand the whole math explanation, and also understand the both Instrumental track and vocal track need to be exactly aligned (based on kick and drum waves) what I have trouble understanding is the actual "Extraction", I use ACID to work with, How exactly does one "inverts the phase" on ACID SOFTWARE?
Also, does FL STUDIO carries something like this?

nice one, so if you take a track, get rid of a vocal using something like "vocal remover" then "flip" that on the original, you can extract the vocal? if that works your the man!
