They do, but it's temp. offline.
I was going to reply myself but if someone posting the question can't be bothered to read the thread (in which the report/comment feature is mentioned to be temporarily offline several times) then I can't be bothered to reply.
My personal opinion on the matter is, if you want better standards just telling people to do so wont work.
In a perfect world every acapella should be reviewed and properly named before being put into the list. Im not big on making remixes, so this issue doesnt really affect me that much. However, there has been a select few songs which i have been dying to remix and i have downloaded two of those "acapellas"
1 - Contained only the chorus
2 - Contained only the verse with a huge 30 second gap of silence inbetween the verses which is where the chorus should have been, making the 1:24 aca time decieving.
Then i probably wouldnt have even bothered. Maybe im wrong but my idea of an acapella is the song minus everything but the vocals.
I know people are doing it right, investing their personal time into making these which is not an easy process to do. But in every scenario you will have bad apples and should you want to get rid of those apples, you must take charge.
In any business, tiny or large, improved standards of quality takes time ( which = money ) or money. Im not giving any suggestions, but if you keep things the same you should expect the same results.
Just a few days ago I flagged a member who created 6 multiple accounts. (Yes be warned, we do spot them!)
Some people will go to such time and effort creating multiple email and A4U accounts just to get extra pella's.
All the while this mentality exists (which it always will) we will have the same people trying to upload crap for the credits.
As this site is run on a voluntary basis and not profit making with paid staff, these bad pella's will
from time to time slip through the net.
The database still remains a goldmine.... just with a little dirt mixed in

What do u think about creating a comment box on each download right b4 u click "DOWNLOAD NOW" (like piratebay.org).. This creates a lil feedback, so u will spot out bogus accapellas. Personally i encounter pleaty of "fake" acapellas.. what u think?!
I like the idea of a comment box. they do this on certain sites where you can download free soundfonts that users upload or make themselves. This way you can get an idea of the quality of the soundfont file as stated by other users, before you download it.
This same concept works with a rating system as well. A five star rating system is more user friendly, because you just have to click the rating you wish to give the pella instead of typing into a box.
The ratings are averaged together and that average is the overall rating of the pella.
The rating system more useful than comment boxes because this rating can be incorporated into the "Search" function when searching for a certain acapella, or acapellas in general. I.E you could tell the search engine to find only those pellas with a rating of 4 to 5 stars. You couldnt tell a search engine to find the pellas with the best comments, however the comments would obviously be more descriptive of the quality.
The "preview" button works well most of the time. Other times you wont even hear the pella for the whole preview or the intro of the pella is so long that you dont get to hear the part of the pell that actually has drums and instruments in the background. You dont get to preview the pellas until you have contributed to the forums. I believe it is ten posts or so which is defintitely fair.
So, maybe have a longer preview of the songs??? and maybe add a rating system for each pella in which the same guidelines apply. I.E you must have ten posts before the rating of the pella is visible to the user and the preview feature is active.
I found the rules on uploading easy to follow and the process seemed very smooth, hopefully I'll be uploading more soon.
although maybe not to everyones musical tastes I picked up the 'Producer Edition' of The Sacrament by Lamb of God in a record store the other day. The bonus CD contains EVERY track on the album split into guitars, drums, vocals etc. so you can remix at home.
Heavy metal acapellas are rare to come across so I figured I'd share them, they're 192kbps, full tracks and something a bit on the heavier side to play around with.
