What new features would make ACAPELLAS4U better?

4. Podcast (sort of a show or something), talk about production, mixing etc.
5. I would rather focus on Key of acapellas than on BPM since there is a lot of free software for that.
6. Acapellas4u facebook Fan page (I can make it, if thats ok)
7. We should really pick up on Competitions (I think we kind of let this one rest)
8. Monthly or Yearly Acapellas4u Mixtapes (just a thought) Few years back I did the first one and the forum really got alive, second one wasnt my fault lol

2. BPM: A program can’t calculate the BPM exactly (because of a fade in, bridge,.. whatever)(correct me if I’m wrong).
So I suggest a BPM Voting System: If someone knows (or think to know) the BPM, he can directly inscribe it to the download file section BPM.
If a second person think the BPM is different, he also can inscribe his value. Then the downloaders can vote for the correct BPM.. or inscribe theirs.
This is maybe a bit complicaited (you just could leave a comment) but I think it is far more precisely than a program.

9. Acapellas4u Radio: Just like it says, a streaming radio only with Acapellas4u members tracks. With several genres (Hip-Hop, House, Trance, RnB,..whatever) and with an embetted voting system for a topten or a hitlist. Just something to make the DJ’s and their mixes more famous 😉

We had one of those on GYBO for a while – It was just a radio player with a playlist that pulled 20 random tracks from the database. Not sure how you’d get the tracks from threads onto a playlist, though. But yeah, good idea, as I always forget to listen to the members’ tracks.

Im not really interested in the bpm or the key of acapella (not on hear anyway, that can be fixed when i get the sample) , but maybe if you implemented the 2nd suggestion here, that could be part of it anyway….

what I do think is missing is in the search facility:

1>>>to find acapellas by date of original track (as in not the upload date on here)

2>>>tag words, especially for unknown tracks, such as Male/female, rap, soul, gangsta, (bpm and key could be incorperated this way surely, less work for you, no dodgy bpm counter, just forum members, you could make it state how many times its been tagged with whichever keyword, so if 30 people tag male, and 2 tag female, you have a good idea which is right. same with bpm.

3>>>Facility for Forum members to actually comment on the acapellas themselves, so if something says full acapella diy, then you get it and its a live pa that is on the artists cd you can state that. or just state wheter its a really clean acapella, no instruments etc, ratings are never much use on any site, bit vague

hope you like at least the second one, if it was implemented it would probably help out a lot with most peoples suggestions 😉

Letting everyone sample acapellas before downloading

Im in for the BPM scan as well. Using Ableton Live 8 and it does alright, but it would be helpful when Im not quite sure what song I want to use. Being able to scan just by BPM could lead to some cool mashes I would have never thought of!

I agree with anybody in this thread who suggested a field for keys.
