Its actually two video cards. An ATI X800 PCIe card with Dual DVI going to the 24" Dell and the 20" Dell above it. And a cheapy ATI Radeon 7000 PCI with DVI and VGA outs
And I am running Cakewalk Sonar 6 on this machine.
Cheers,
GYR8[/quote:1dh70ht3]Excellent. Thanks for the info. I’m due for a computer upgrade in the next few months and I’d like to get a few LCD’s in a similar setup to yours.
how do you have that 20" mounted? I love the way you have it above the 24", but what is holding it in place? Also, the 17" on the sides, I see you have them rotated. The software to rotate them like that (without rotating the display), did that software come with the monitors or with the video card? Forgive me if it’s a stupid question, but I’ve never had a monitor that could be rotated like that…

They also reflect a lot of sound. Very bad for mixing music.

aqua_tekParticipantdamn! some cool setups in here
here’s a pic of my humble mini studio

Macbook Pro, running Logic Pro 7, Live 6, Reason 3, Kontakt 2, and Zebra 2
Mackie Onyx Satellite
Novation Remote 25SL
Event ALP 5 monitors on Auralex Mo’pads and Quiklok stands
AKG k271s headphones
AdSense 336x280February 12, 2007 at 1:45 am #612887
acheadKeymasteraqua_tek . that stuff looks sweet to me. I reckon my first controller/keys will be the Novation 25SL for working with Live 6. How are you finding it for versatility?
AdSense 336x280February 12, 2007 at 3:09 am #612893
aqua_tekParticipantthanks

Any model in the novation SL range will work great with Live. I’ve found the 25 SL to be very versatile (so far it has worked with Live, Logic, Reason, Kontakt, and Zebra 2 effortlessly) and very intuitive.
I love it. My only complaint is that I wish I could have afforded the 61 key version

bassfaceParticipantFinally finished renovating the back part of the house which means all the gear gets to move back out of the cupboard again!
Really wanted to set up the gear in the main part of the house cos the rig is maninly used for jamming with friends rather than a full on production studio. After just getting the renovation finished didn’t want it to look like a mess of cables and gear so started thinking about a desk that hid all the cabling and looked more like a piece of furniture rather than a spaghetti factory The back has built in cable trays that hold all the cables to stop them hanging. 2 separate cable trays also 1 for power, 1 for audio/midi.
Side View

Rack on right hand side has full extension slide out shelves so you can get to the back of gear to plug in cables.

With the mixer and master keyboard rolled out.

Not a heap of room for expansion but when I get some decent monitors, the amp in the rack can go which will give a few more rack units space. Also didn’t want to have too much unoccupied desk space which usually becomes a dumping ground. Nice to have it all set up again.
