HifiBanjoStringsParticipantSomething I made for GYBO. My mixes usually contain this many tracks but much more messily laid out

AdSense 336x280November 28, 2010 at 8:25 pm #683892
noddynoodleParticipantSomething along the lines of .
I know it’s pretty messy without any labeling on different patterns and my extensive use of the blocks, but it’s just what I’m used to
I also never use this scaling in the playlist, it was just for the purpose of getting the entire track in the shot

LenmuzikParticipantI don’t know how to post an image either

But i use FL studio and my songs look verry crowded and messy, but at least it still makes sense to me

h3modifiedParticipantA lot of my songs tend to be really basic, running only FL Studio 10 at this point. I notice that there are people who run playlist track that contain patterns, and they also have a seperating bar at the bottom with an individual sample but I have failed to realize what this is and how to make my playlist look like that. -_-

we have one thing in common, i too have like half of my tracks or more only for the drums themselves haha
AdSense 336x280December 26, 2011 at 12:08 pm #690605
djcamouflageParticipantI find it actually detracts from your songs, if you’re trying to lay down a mix, you can get so caught up in what it "looks like" that you forget the important part, what is sounds like. I find I have to press play and walk away from the PC and hear it from another perspective, not attached to all the bars and lines to really hear it.
AdSense 336x280May 11, 2012 at 1:52 am #692668
theslagParticipantReally depends on the project, but usually pretty clustered

gabmanParticipanthey hey!
i wanna show what we’ve done in the last time: Sky and Sand (Kalkbrenner) in an experimental a-capella-way…check this out
just go to youtube and search for "NotenDealer Sky and Sand" and you will find it…somehow i cant post the link here….

MC240384Participant[quote quote="Plattitude":m7jk4nrw]let’s have a look at your songs, screensets from all apps are welcome..
i’ll start by showing what i spend my last two days with..
it’s a Logic screenset and one of the first finished tracks we recorded with a german MC called Don. it’s based on some simple idrum samplerplayers for the beat, kontakt2 orchestra instruments, 6 tracks for vocals incl. doubles/adds plus 3 tracks for cuts.
we recorded and edited the vocals in ProTools and then imported clean tracks in the beat-project-file for the final mix.
you can listen to an earlier version of this without cuts on our myspace-page
http://www.myspace.com/69sounds[/quote:m7jk4nrw]Nice work, got to start colouring my tracks after 5 years of using logic haha been told it can improve workflow.

I agree, some people are a bit narrow-minded.

ReplayR7ParticipantI wonder how few tracks you have within your projects.. I sometimes have up to 150 Midi and Audio Tracks in my Arrangment. maybe i’m doin something wrong.
AdSense 336x280March 14, 2013 at 5:44 am #697471
theslagParticipantStarted out with only 9-10 tracks and now it’s blowing to nearly 40. Cost of making basslines change so much.
AdSense 336x280March 14, 2013 at 3:56 pm #697484
ReplayR7ParticipantBut 40 is absolutely normal! Every CPU should be able to handle that and the workflow is still good.

hansausbremenParticipantHi,
here is my Screenset. Its is a song that I did not finish yet, but you kinda get the Idea:
[url:mddu1ph8]http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/197/reasonscreen.JPG[/url:mddu1ph8]
I use Reason for Drums ONLY since I really like the Kong. All the synths and the Mixing is done in Ableton. I also edit Vocal-Files (from acapella
) and slice them into smaller clips when I remix a song.I usually have up to 8 Lines:
1 for Basedrum and Snare
1 for Percussion
1 to 3 for Bass Synth
1 to 3 for ChordsBest,
