dwoods77Participantsomething ive been working on for the last couple of nights. pretty happy with the results so far but i feel like maybe there is something missing. the bassline is pretty raw at the moment – does need some work. would love some feedback re: mix and overall composition. any comments would be greatly appreciated..

dark vibe to it.[/quote:3ngk2dct]cheers man appreciate the comment after 100+ views with no comments at all haha. have to redo the mixing on this on coz the eq’ing was terrible (only wrote it using my earphones) had a good listen on my mates monitors and omg did it sound terrible other than the kick. thanks for the kind words anyways.. will bump the thread once i mix it down a bit better

DAGRUNGLERParticipantyou have to think about what your going for – there isnt one aesthetic – are you going for clean digital computer breaks or for raw gritty 90s style breaks – the mix is good for a clean computer break – it sounds very fruity loops – but i think some heads would like it – you have pretty good drum programming – if ur going for more 90s breakz you have to layer in a lot more drum breaks under your drums to give the track a more organic feel. Everyone says this – fuck with the groove – when u get it right u can make it have more of a recklessness. Personally when i think breaks i think reckless and rude the foil to happy hardcore shit – think ruuder
