Admin now see what you have done???? Now that we’ve all been posting to say how impatient and eager we are, the topic has become so popular there are even more people signing up for the comp. That puts me under more duress and pressure. LOL!!!!!!!!!

Juno thank you for the offer of valium, I think I’d need a double dose. But, as I’m of morphine, not sure it’d be a good idea to MIX the two. Talking bout MIXING any hints as to when this is taking off. I know Admin are very busy people, but your humble public of getting very anxious now. LOL

Tim.gosden you jerking us around ?? You never heard of valium? It’s also known as diazapam (not sure bout the spelling). All I’ll say is don’t take it if you want to go out partying and drinking. But should you ever need a chill pill this is the one the docs give you LOL.

RULES (subject to approval by acapella)

THE COMPO WILL BE 3 ROUNDS

1) ONLY ONE REMIX PER PARTICIPANT
2) TRACK MUST BE AT LEAST 3 MINUTES IN LENGTH
3) EVERY SAMPLE IN THE SAMPLE PACK MUST BE USED IN SOME WAY, NOTHING HAS TO BE USED DRY, YOUR FREE TO MESS AROUND WITH THE SAMPLES IN A WAVE EDITOR OR ADD EFFECTS.
4) OTHER SAMPLES CAN BE USED ALONG WITH SOFT SYNTHS/HARDWARE.
5) ANY STYLE GOES UNDER THE GENERAL HOUSE GENRE
6) POINTS WILL BE ALLOCATED FOR THE MOST VOTED FOR TRACKS EACH ROUND (POINT SYSTEM TO BE DESIGNED) AT THE END OF THE COMPO THE 3 TOP PARTICIPANTS IN THE LEAGUE TABLE WILL FACE OFF AGAINST EACH OTHER.

Two things. I did ask you if I could see the comp.rules specced up on the forum (as in in the STAFF area) before they went out didn’t I.

Secondly, As is the case when RULES are announced, I’ll sit back and let the participants rip them to bits before I mention anything else – that’s normally how these things pan out.

whoops, sorry acapella completly slipped my mind its been one of those days im afraid.

Guys im thinking 3 remixes that EVERYONE will get to participate in, this isnt a knockout compo, its gonna be a league

and fresh, im gonna select the best 5-10 samples from the pack to zip up for you lot, im just trying to avoid the tracks differing to much from the subject, which is a remix of the original track, not just an original track 😉

I agree with Phatfeet. I have a full time job (which I hate) so I can only get in an hour or so here and there to play around with my music. But one can only but try. We’ll just have to wait and see what the final rules state.

I have loads of time!!!! Count me in for all 3! I can see where others are coming from though? Why not do it as a knockout? That would mean that not everyone would be doing 3, might take the strain and pressure off?

I think a league is more involving tho, and it also allows people who make a dogs ear of the first track another chance 😉 With a knockout everyone that has been knocked out tends to lose all interest in the compo because they are no longer part of it 😉

Another week has gone by!!! I really need to know when this competion is going to take off. I’m waiting to have knee surgery, and the longer I wait for the remix pack the less time I’ll have to take part in said competion. This is because once I’ve had the surgery I won’t be able to sit at my computer(sobs).
Any when we can expect the remix pack?? Please. Pretty please!

I’ll also end up forgetting. Remix pack was supposed to be available for downloading, last nite.
If I have to wait any longer, I may have to opt out. My knee surgery is scheduled for 10 days time. May be sooner if there’s a cancellation.
