House Remix Competition – Pump Up The Jam 2005

i’ve had the thought

as u know, right now the remix competition(s) are *unofficial* and I’m just kinda throwing them together. I dont think the admins are ready to have a full blown competition…..(yet ) I would definetly be up for starting an EDM remix competition by about mid-May. I’m gonna take this Summer off from school and concentrate on my music – so……I’ll have more time to do stuff like that then.

Yeah im in definatly, will keep an eye on this baby and am happy to moderate this

Im convinced we would run short on moderator power to run all the differant genres compos at the same time. We are running the hiphop comp again and possibly this at the same time now, next time we will pick another two 😉

I’ve already said I have to wait til about Mid May when my classes are over unless another Mod or Admin can look over it – modding one remix competition and a pretty busy forum already takes enough time for me right now.

Don’t worry, the 1st RnB comp thread was up and down for quite a few times, in different threads even, before the idea was pulled to action.

BUT it doesent mean that this “request” is to be forgotten.
C’mon people, there must be something we can work out, even if we leave this a fantasy for now…
A few more ideas can surely pop up…

Why does it have to Juno who works all the time?
Crin, here, looks as a good candidate for an administration of an another competition. (sorry )

I’ll get with Pella and see whats going on but like I said – I cant make this a top priority right now.
It may seem like I have tons of time since I post here alot but I really dont – I’m just always around a computer and have alot of short breaks during the day.

At the moment i got phat phat flu but as soon as i can put on a stereo without making my eyes bleed I will get moving on this guys

Alright plan. But surely reason users cant use synth samples? I think if the drum samples yes but synths no. Synths are soo varried, if you only gave a few sounds everyone tracks would sound the same and there would be no way of being individual or making yours standout. Maybe give a set list of plugins or soundsfonts? Then they can be tweaked eg. Vanguard gives sooo many different sounds that everyones track would be different.
