DJ_WillzParticipanthttp://audacity.sourceforge.net/
audacity is what i use frequently while making acapellas. The noise removal feature is very powerful and unlike most noise removal features.
U select a soundclip within a song (Any length of time from nano seconds to hours!) And then remove that noise from that song!
Please try it u may find it of some use! Any feedback most appreciated!
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
P.S – It takes minutes to download! Plus no other crappy files with it just the software and it is freeware meaning 100% free!

DJ ValParticipantWillz. Thanks for sharing this info with us. Please can I ask if you are willing to write a quick step by step guide on how you create an acapella in this programme. I’m sure I won’t be alone when I say that your help would be so greatly appreciated.
Take careVal

DJ_WillzParticipantSure thing DJ Val! I will right one up and post up in a new topic titled:
Free Software: Audacity + Quick GuideJust because my previous topic name seems tacky and people may think it’s "another one of thoose softwares claiming to make accapellas"
But yes a quick guide with pictures will be posted shortly.

DJ ValParticipantThanks Willz. I’m just wondering if you should post it in the "Tutorials" forum. I’ll speak to admin to make sure it’s not removed in error.
Thank you for your time and support for a4u.

Hey this sounds fantastic – gr8 stuff Willz.
May I suggest that as members arent able to create NEW posts within the Tutorials section that you create the text and links to any pictures in the forum ready format and email or PM me the detail so I can take a look at it once you’re ready ok?
Cheers, thanks once again.
p.s would really like to hear a selection of acapella extractions that you’ve done with Audacity.

hevyarmzParticipantI’ve played around with audacity for a while now, I’ve even tried to do this with it, but perhaps I was a bit overzealous at the time.
I was digging the changes in the sound, gave it a unique factor.
Please forgive me if I don’t use technical terms, I just know what I like and what sounds I’m looking for at any time and just dive in from there.
AdSense 336x280January 17, 2006 at 11:02 pm #583301
DJ_WillzParticipantYep! i will do a tutorial for you guys with pics and sound clips. And i will post it to you (Founder of site) but you may need to hang on with me for a few days as im doing a-level exams this week. (im still in college, im only 17

silkyParticipantyeah this looks good…
don’t really know how to use it properly,
so i’m praying that someone will get round to making a step-bystep guide…but thumbs up though…….
AdSense 336x280February 7, 2006 at 6:40 am #584563
extremetraxxParticipantHaven’t downloaded the program, however I listened to the sample of Lionel Richie "hello"… it was really good. But the phasing method in the previous post really works the BEST if you can find the exactly intrumental to go with the song you’re trying to make acapella (that is, every frequency in the instrumental must match the instrumentals in the background of the original song. If not, then phasing won’t work). It sux, but that’s the best way i’ve found. Any feed back on phasing?

AdSense 336x280February 28, 2006 at 4:49 pm #585935
extremetraxxParticipantI’d love to help you out brother, but I don’t use this program. However, I doubt it has a "quality" acapella plugin for it.
