DJ_BradyParticipantHi Ive been wanting to get into remixing songs with no acapellas a lot lately so I´ve sort of learnt how to mask over a beat (I think)
Can you listen to these three random songs I put a beat over..I used the same drumloop sample on each.
I used a Robbie Williams song, a REM song and the famous Fairytale of New York christmas song… I dont play on ruining any of these in full but could you let me know if they sound on beat to you.. cheers.AdSense 336x280April 3, 2006 at 10:29 pm #587813

acheadKeymasterthe first one is Spot on man!!
the second is ok just the stretching of the beat tricks ya!
the final one is a little bit of swing at the end, the sample needs little bit of tweeking, just a tad.
but overall man your doing great with beat maching on FL
yes people reason is not all that good! its how you render it, mylo uses reason, his destroy rock and roll track was mostly mono! and the vocal sample was c***!

DJ ValParticipantHey Brady. Long time no chat
. You are coning along nicely. I’ve been tring to figure out this masking over beats for years. I just don’t no how these guys do it. Can’t even find any reading matter on the subject.
Keep on at it, you are one member that we can be proud of, one member that never gives up and is always learning and trying new stuff. Wish I had the patience you have.
Take careVal

TubbyParticipanthi Brady, first 2 sound good to me, last one is kinda weird cause of the swing.. but you’re close to the solution I think. Overall I found the vocals could be a lot louder in the mixes, don’t know if you haven’t mixed them properly yet, but it’s a problem I find in a lot of mixes on this forum. Anyways, keep up the good work!!

SI PAULParticipantHi Bradly
Well……………………………………….. I never…
I am a really big fan of R.E.M, and I havent heard many decent remixes of them. Micheal Stipe has a great voice, and from what ive heard, you have done it justice.
I would like to hear a longer version if your doing one. that would be A1
