I am using Audacity to make my first acapella(Made in Heaven by Queen).
So far,it has not worked.
I have the instrumental and the original album version with Freddies vocals.
Both are wav in mono.
I put the instrumental in track 1 and pan hard right
I put the original version in track 2 and pan hard left
Both are in perfect alignment
Now,which track do I use the Knockout effect on?
Or,can I instead,use the invert effect,and if so,which track do I invert?
I also tried to make an acapella using Audition 3.0 but where the heck is Invert listed in the Effects?[/quote:15dzys0a]try using both the invert method along with the knockout.. once you have got your perfect alignment( after inverting the instr and mixing in the og version) set your instr at 50 and set your og version at -100 , mix down to new file and then apply the knockout method this is one of the cleanest results you’ll get.[/quote:15dzys0a]
im in ableton, by -50 and 100? which settings are you on about mate?
