liquidfxParticipantReason all the way. nothing can match its simplicity and power. its has so much to offer if just scratch underneath the surface. IMO still a revolutionary piece of softtware, and the best thing out on the market!

liquidfxParticipantnak3dboy wrote:I voted for ACID because that is the software i am currently using and i find it very good! I have never gotten around to give Reason a try, perhaps i shall do so. Is it hard to learn?well…that depends if you have experience workingwith hardware. its setup to work just like hardware…down to the cables that connect the instruments together.
its medium. it may be easy to those who know about harware/software instruments and effects. and then it might be hard to newbies with no idea of waht to do. thats why lots of newbies go for FL, it seems easier to use…but Reason is the more powerful chosie from a composition point of view.

acheadKeymasterAbleton Live is the business … I used to use acid a few years ago (that sounds suss, doesn’t it?
) but I’ve found Ableton to be very intuitive and controllable – plus if we ever take our show out live it’ll be a snap to do it.Long live Ableton!
AdSense 336x280March 10, 2005 at 10:42 am #569545
AcidLoverParticipantI use Acid Pro to create simple loop-based remixes. I would like to start to make some more complex tunes, so I interested to find out more about the alternative sequencers and software out there…
AdSense 336x280March 16, 2005 at 4:08 am #569798
DJ TronicParticipantI just started using Ableton Live as my main sequencer and I couldn’t be happier, I will be starting live shows with it later in the year as well.

AdSense 336x280April 12, 2005 at 11:13 am #570592
KirsdjsteelParticipantI use Protools for my sequencer, rewired to Reason 2.5, & Ableton’s Live.
I find this to be the most versitale solution. Fruityloops adds reverb to all its productions and every song comes out sounding twangy. I wish that was not the case becuase I think fruity loops is the most user friendly.
Acid just doesn’t have enough options, it’s to beginner based.
I’m glad I have smart firends cuase I wouldn’t have been able to figure protools out on my own.
AdSense 336x280April 12, 2005 at 5:11 pm #570610
10000 SpoonsParticipantAcid, mostly – I’ve tried creating my own stuff (as opposed to mixes and bootlegs) using Buzz, but haven’t got very far.
