Important Administration Info – Please Read this affects you

This is a really important headsup to all of our account holders here on acapellas4u.co.uk.

We’re planning some MAJOR housekeeping as our database has become rather ‘bloated’ over the last year and in order to keep this fantastic website and resource running as smoothly as we can for all of you, we’ll be removing old/inactive accounts.

We’ve been meaning for some time to get to this but we’ve just not had the time, sound familiar?

Ok, so all that said and done, what’s this mean for you?

We strongly suggest that you do one of the following.

[*:3m1ivwe9][color color=#FF0000:3m1ivwe9]Create a post or reply to an existing post[/color:3m1ivwe9] inside one of the many I know this 1-post used to be mandatory in the past before anyone can access any acapellas to download and don’t worry we won’t be resurfacing it again, it just says to our system, "yep, don’t remove this account as they’ve posted". Oh btw, don’t post anything spammy, or a post/reply containing hyperlinks as we have an automated addon which will assume you’re a spambot and probably delete you before we even run our checks[/*:m:3m1ivwe9]

It’s still in beta but just reach for the ‘Facebook’ button at the top middle of acapellas4u.co.uk.[/*:m:3m1ivwe9][/list:u:3m1ivwe9]

A lot to understand I know, so we’ll do our best to answer any questions directly here and if you’d prefer more of an immediate response, you can reach out to us via [/b:3m1ivwe9] and we suggest using the hashtag #acapellas4uaccountquestion. We also encourage you to come and like our Facebook page at [b:3m1ivwe9] – we have a right party over there most days and you’ll see a lot of content being released in real-time, so far more dynamice that the site for that.. no offence phpbb3 – we love you really.
Oh yeah, emails, gosh we nearly forgot… is it soon to become a thing of the past like the written letter? Anyway, send us an email to acapellasforyou[ a t]gmail.com with a subject line of ‘Account Query’ and we’ll do our best to ensure we get to you as soon as we can.

Although we think our registration is great and protects us from a lot of the evil that resides in the world, we appreciate that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Please understand that thousands of registrants come through our gates every week and we HAVE to ensure that all the real ones stay and we say ‘no thanks’ to all the spambot registrations who literally come in, change their signature and fill our lovely, manicured forums with filth and viagra posts.

Account administration can be quite a headache at the best of times, but we want you to know that we will do our very best to ensure that decisions will not be made hastily and if we don’t feel 100% on any one action, we won’t see it through. We realise there’s a lot at stake here. That said, rest assured that our data’s backed up on a regular basis and I have one of the finest system administrators working for me and in the event of any data corruption scenarios, I’ll call upon his expertise to come rescue me.

Great questions Karama! – Basically we’re using the power of Facebook Connect application to allow you to link your acapellas4u account to your Facebook account so that in future you can simply click the ‘Facebook’ button at the top (this will probably change to Connect Using Facebook at a later date) to sign in to you acapellas4u account with just 1-click! It saves ever having to worry about what the email address, username and.or password to you acapellas4u account is.

I would just re-emphasise now I have the floor, to say that it is all very new functionality in beta stage, we are still ironing out cross-browser issues and any other bits that come up.

Try this: Logout, try to login via facebook, if not login, use unlink fb_unlink.php and link again.
