Solid State Logic C200 Music
The C200 provides the latest adaptation of SSL’s popular in-line console heritage with a dedicated ‘knob per function’ control surface. The C200 is suitable for creative mixing applications, such as Music or Entertainment, where ‘hands on’ access to a large numbers of controls is essential.
In-line versatility and the provision of both Snapshot and Dynamic automation make the console ideal for both live-to-air and post production mixing applications. A special ‘Mobile’ configuration is also available for compact studio or mobile installations.
The C200 digital production console represents the latest evolution of SSL's 'knob per function' design, specifically suited to 5.1 audio production and multipurpose studio applications. Based on entirely new processing technology, the C200 delivers superior audio performance at 48kHz and 96kHz operation. Unlike some consoles, the C200 retains all of its bussing capability at both sample frequencies.
Incorporating all of the automation features of SSL’s previous generations of music consoles and more, the C200 is the new high benchmark in mix production. Several of the top-selling albums of recent years have been produced on SSL digital mixing consoles, which boast owners such as Mutt Lange, Enya and Van Morrison.

Analogue-Style Control Surface
The C200's dedicated channel strips provide a familiar operational interface to both in-house and freelance audio engineers. The operator has immediate access and an excellent overview of all console's settings. Parameters may be adjusted simultaneously across multiple channels, and mixers can work with the aid of an assistant engineer if required.
Superior Audio Quality
With options for 48 or 96kHz operation, the C200 delivers superior audio performance. All channels provide 4-band parametric EQ, high and low pass filters, and independent compressor/limiter and gate/expander sections. Processing is dedicated to every channel so there's no need to assign resources at the start of the setup, and emulations such as the SSL 'E' and 'G' Series EQ provide familiar and great sounding audio tools.
Total Dynamic Automation
For demanding mix sessions, the C200 incorporates all of the automation benefits of the popular MT and MT Plus consoles. Powerful automation includes features such as totally automated processing, off-line mix editing and on-line mix compare.
Instant Reset
The C200 Project management system enables full reconfiguration for a new mix or, for example, to switch between tracking and mixing setups in seconds. In addition to automation settings, this includes reset of routing, surround formats, and outboard effects parameters via MIDI control.
Maximum Value
Each C200 console is tailored to meet production and budgetary needs, with all elements scalable: console surface, channel capacity and I/O.
SSL's proprietary Centuri core contains all audio and control processing, I/O options and GPI interfacing within a single, robust chassis. Up to 512 inputs and outputs may be handled directly from the Centuri core. Card options include Analogue, AES/EBU Digital and MADI, all operating at 24-bit with sample rate conversion for digital I/O as standard. A 60-channel GPI card may be fitted to provide programmable track arming, etc.
Mic sources are input through separate remote controlled stageboxes, with a choice of 24- or 48-channel variants. Each unit provides mic inputs with split feeds, foldback and PSU/fibre link redundancy options.
Unique 5.1 mixing tools
C200's 12 main busses provide multiple 5.1 and/or stereo groups, with simultaneous 5.1 and stereo main outputs. Every channel features dynamic PanPoint joystick-style panning and positive/negative divergence modes for balancing true centre vs phantom centre signals. The C200’s 5.1 main output compressor has options for disabling the surround and/or subwoofer channels from the sidechain control signal, and the console may support up to two 5.1 and two stereo sets of monitor outputs ideal for main and nearfield 5.1 plus additional stereo monitoring. 5.1 and stereo monitoring paths also include insertion points for matrix encoders and decoders, and external source selections.
Total Dynamic Automation
Based on traditional SSL mixing modes, the C200 adds total dynamic automation of all processing functions. Key-stroke based operation puts options within one button push of the mixing engineer, with functions such as update in Trim, Motors Off operation and online mix compare all instantly available from the centre section. Automation may be written at any speed providing the ability to write complex moves at slower speeds.
Sweet Spot Operation
Any of 8 channels can be swapped into a designated central master bay, allowing parameters across multiple channel strips to be adjusted from the optimum listening position. Ideal for adjusting EQ’s or 5.1 panning from the best listening spot in the control room.
Virtual Bays
More compact control surfaces may access all available DSP channels through an extension of bay swapping. Simply swap each virtual bay of channels into the sweet spot master for control of any channel strip from the centre section of the console.
Integrated DAW control
The C200 centre section features KVM switching enabling the central TFT and pen/puck/tablet interface to be switched between the console and external DAW menus. This enables easy switching between final editing and mixing operations, all from the sweet spot monitoring position.
Multi-machine control
The console features an integrated 4-port machine control system supporting serial, parallel, LTC and MTC interfaces ideal for controlling multiple playback machines and working with picture. Dedicated console displays provide instant feedback on machine statuses, with options to define the master machine and nudge offsets on the fly. Dedicated timecode memories and an Events list enable fast auto location to any timecode position.
Integrated Routing Control
An integrated digital routing matrix removes the need for complex analogue patchbays and allows easy reconfiguration of complex setups. Channel inputs, bus routing and mic parameters are handled centrally for speed and convenience. Routes may be made individually or in arrays, providing fast setup tools for changing channel or insert patching, assigning record feeds, or for say trimming a range of mic gain settings

Solid State Logic AWS 900 mixing console and DAW controller fusion
Solid State Logic's AWS 900; is a revolutionary combination of a compact world-class analogue mixing console and a comprehensive DAW controller. Based on SSL's flagship XL 9000 K Series console, the AWS 900 provides everything you need to record, edit and mix professional projects - just add the workstation of your choice.
The AWS 900 provides the dual benefits of a featured SuperAnalogue™ signal path, coupled with a comprehensive DAW controller.
In the late 70’s SSL introduced its legendary SL 4000 console. By combining the revolutionary ergonomics of an in-line design, with integrated computer automation, the SL 4000 became the professional production console during the 1980’s. Mid-way through the 1990’s SSL then launched it’s next generation ‘SuperAnalogue’ console, the SL 9000. This introduced revolutionary new analogue audio circuit designs bringing new levels of signal quality to audio productions. Today, SSL’s flagship XL 9000 K Series console provides the world's leading international studios with a SuperAnalogue console designed for the production of high resolution formats such as DVD-Audio and SACD.
SuperAnalogue™ Console
The AWS 900 is a complete, compact SSL console, with all of the audio quality, robustness and advanced ergonomics that this implies. AWS 900 offers no-compromise audio performance, equivalent to SSL’s celebrated XL 9000 K Series mixing console which is a feature of major studios the world over.
Signal routing, inputs/outputs, monitoring and signal processing are all permanently available on the console. Quality motorised faders provide conventional audio level control as well as controlling the recording and replay levels in your DAW.
