So i’ve got the vocals from a local rock band’s song and made a beat for it. It’s not finished (i’ve repeated the first verse in the 2nd) and still want to add some sound effects here and there etc.
What do you honestly think of it? Do the vocals match? Does the beat sound too generic?
Constructive criticism is appreciated!
Anybody who wants me to rate their mix, leave a thread link under your feedback!

I think its a great start, reminds me of Calvin Harris, and its worked out rather well for him.
I would suggest a longer white noise with a sweeping filter at 10sec.
And as much as im sick of hearing all pop and dance vocals sounding like R2D2 i think the vocals
would benefit from a little autotuning or vocoder.
The Killers would be a good example, they very tastefully use vocal transformers. If your a Logic 9
user you can actually get the project file from Apple they used for one of their songs and see how it was made.
(im still on 8 tho
)
Nice idea about the mutual feedback, anything to encourage feedback gets a thumbs up from me
i agree
