Hey,

Today i got a USB to Midi Cable (Turtle Beach USB Midi 1x1) to connect my Keyboard (Yamaha PSR-270) To my PC. So ive got it all set up and im using FL Studio 5 and it works fine apart from when i press a key on the keyboard i get a delay from pressing the key to hearing it on the PC, it is a small delay but is very hard to work with as it does make a lot of difference. If anyone could help me it would be very appreciated. Also ive heard that USB cables are slower compared to other cables that connect to the PC in another way so would it be a case of buying another cable that does not connect through USB?

Thanks

Al

Hi Al2004,
You have a Audio Latency Problem (Audio to MIDI latency)
and this is a very long Story.

-what is your sound card?
-does she support asio?

ASIO:
http://www.soundblaster.com/resources/read.asp?articleid=60&cat=2

If not, try this : asio4all:
http://michael.tippach.bei.t-online.de/asio4all/

what's the latency:
http://www.digitalprosound.com/Htm/Articles/April/Audio_Latency.htm

Try Google: "audio latency, midi latency, asio, etc.

Good Luck (you will already find the solution)
LeWelsch

ps: my Latency is 7ms. (you notice none delay there)
(Audigy Asio Driver)

Maybe another Acap-Member can better Explain.(THANK YOU)

For Your Problem,It must be The Program or The soundbank...If U Got latency with Instruments Vst, I think it's Normal cause i have the same "problem" with my Pc.
