Hi fujikato,
Thats a very Hot Track, GREAT Work, Cool Ideas,
with what you have made it ?
Sequencer, VST, Effects, Samples, etc.
The Finishing is very Clear and Clean and
the Mix between deep, middle and high is very good.
far so

Sound quality is good. Had some treatment - mild mastering, compression, maximizing ?
Would like to see some more variation on the drums work...
would've been a contender for TOTM IF we still had that section..
Actually fujikato, if I remember rightly didn't you get picked one month but you never got the interview details to us ?? shame that..
keep up the good work - whitelabel's on the horizion i'm sure.
acapella. |

But now please help us...what do you use for this? can oyu explain us what is oyur sequencer vst ecc.? i am a beginner and i desire to know to first how oyu make your drum line (use loops and variations? use drum editor of cubase? reason?) and all what oyu wanna say us...
tks

thanks for your comments
ok i`ll try to explain my setup
sequenzer is cubase sx2. couple of years ago i won a cubase 3.7 version, now i am bying the updates. i tried a couple of other sequenzers, ,but i think i am too "into" cubase. the only other proggy i use is ableton live! 4 for the electro-jam sessions with some other berlin producers.
drums: i am addicted to my little tr-707 atm. but the it is to lame to use the same drum samples every song, so i merge the "dry" 707 bassdrum with other bassdrum samples for more deepness (i collected some drums samples from the internet and d'n'b drum samples are quiet good for the extra kick)
sometimes i record some old tracks from my "wierd" vinyl-collection (mostly soul or motown stuff) and funk the whole record up with tobybears deconstructor and/or some granular-plugins and cut out some samples for hihat, snare or fx-drumsounds.
bass: at least two bass-sounds in everysong; deep bass (sin) + hard bass (saw / tri); sometimes a counter bassline. synths: clavia micro modular; vsti's: albino; kieselsoft helga; z3ta+;
plugin-tip: voxengo - cheap but superb plugins for mastering.
anything else you wanna know?

Always - this could see the start of a new forum sub-section even if there's a need. |
