here's something i stumbled on after reading this months Computer Music.
now they gave this puppy away on the coverdisk. i think this is a little updated to the one on there. it was originally created for the KVR developer challenge. some of you out there may be aware of it's existence but some of you may not. lol. i've waffled on enough here.
Martin Eastwoods' Compressive. A lovely bit of kit, considering it's free. Better than SSS. enjoy.

Not all torrents are illegal. You can download a free, legal copy of Rebirth (great 303 emulator) from http://www.rebirthmuseum.com
There's also trials being done by a movie company (can't remember which one) to distribute movies via torrents. |

i know not all torrents are illegal. the format was originally created for developers and such to distribute stuff they were working on between colleagues. could be wrong about that though. not by much i don't think.
its just the seedy underworld of 'file sharers' distributing illegal ware that have given the format a bad name.
but i digress. its amazing how one thread content turns into something else innit. lol
didn't know about the movie thing though. |

With regards to the actual topic at hand, DB Audioware Sidechain Compressor and Gate.. hella sweet.. anyone else wanna disagree or agree..
Would love to hear thoughts.. cuz personally.. i have some issues with DB Audioware even though im promoting it as a good sidechain tool.. e.g. if u work with ACID.. its so annoying!!
If you use DB Audioware in a project, it will work until u reopen the project, then u gotta redo it all, the settings and everything.. well for me anyways..
Anyone know of ones that work similar to DB's sidechain compressor plugin? |
