Firstly post in the right place.
Secondly, people will leave a comment if, as and when they feel like it.
Thirdly, it's not our duty to listen to everything under the sun (on this forum) and comment on it. We're people too, and have other things to do.
If it's of exceptional quality it will feature in the Recommends section of the site.

No, i don't dig because other members on this site can and do contribute as and when they feel like it.
As do the mods, no where (anywhere) does it state we HAVE to listen to every single track that's ever churned out here in the ENTIRE test pressing area.
Seeing that this is just a mundane rant i'm not bothering much with you anymore.
Have you EVER looked at the recommendations forum??

| Would you feel better if no one viewed your post? The only way i see people posting a good or bad reaction on someones mix is if its really bad i mean train wrecks all over the place or really good something new that not many people have heard. Sorry with all the new technology out there, to me alot of dj mixes sound the same so it has to be something pretty special for me to comment. If you haven't gotten any bad reviews then it must be pretty good. |

The moderators here do a great job of making sure things run smoothly, ensuring that the rules are upheld and helping us all to access an unparalleled selection of content. It doesn't get said enough, so thanks to all of you for your efforts.
I like to get feedback on my tracks as much as anyone, but forums like this thrive on peer-to-peer user interaction. One of the best way to foster that is to regularly offer constructive criticism to others - both positive and negative. Help others and people are more likely to help you. |

I have a few suggestions for you as well.
1. If you are basing the number of views to what has actually been downloaded/listened to. The numbers will be smaller for the amount of downloads to views. Most members read the post then decide if they want to take the time to listen and review the mix. Yeah it sucks sometimes but there are large numbers of mixes being posted on the site on a regular basis so it can be hit or miss.
2. When you post 7 mixes on the same day and expect all 7 or even some of them for that matter to have responses within 5 days you need to be a little more patient than you are. Especially when you do what I call overkill. 7 mixes in one day really is overkill. Don't you think?
Not to mention you posted another one to day. Based on my experience someone who posts as many mixes in a short period of time may not have spent enough quality time and therefor rushed their mixes. Which makes me say "I'm not going to waste my time listening to this members mixes. Again based on the overkill factor.
Yes it is possible that most of your mixes have been finished for a long time now and you just posted a lot at one time but again you must think in regards to the fact you are unknown(relatively) on this site and the overkill factor.
3. Try in the future to post one or two of your mixes and wait awhile between posting more.
Just to see if my suspicions are correct and because I enjoy a good rant I will in the near future take sometime to give you feedback on one of your currently 8 mixes.

i know i ain't got any mashups/tunes on here (yet) but the way i see it is....if you cant take criticism in any format. well then you have chosen the wrong game to be in. i'm sure this is going to get me in trouble with someone. DJ_Prime i dont mean any offence with this at all fella. as.... i'm sure the world ain't ready for my aphex twin/tina turner mixes or my drum n bassed up elkie brookes either. i must get on a pc that has both the internet and sound, i'll hunt ur track down and have a listen to it myself. i hope this post makes sense as its four in the morning and my eyes are glazing over.
and to the mods. this site rocks, am surprised i've never come accross it before |

| the way i see it is, at least people are listening to your tracks or mixes that you have posted. most people have lives and cant respond to every persons post and same goes for the mods. |

I think I will join your rant because some of my creations that I have posted seem to get a lot of views and no feedback which is why I think most of the people on here are Leechers!
If I am honest, I don't come on here often, but when I do, I do contribute to posts and give feedback on what other people have made. I think majority of people only join this site so that they can access the database of acapellas. They aren't bothered about joining in with the forum which explains why the forum is so quiet! (at least to me it is because there are always very few "new" posts). |

on one of my mashes (my only one because i'm lazy, if i'm honest) 35 views 5 DL and no feedback. thats five more people that have listened to the track than i actually thought would. lol.
this site spans genres, my drum and bass mash my not have appealed to many people. same may be true for the ranters. it happens. if you're concise enough in your description, and the user doesn't want to listen....then so be it. not really a dent in MY ego if no-one likes it or even wants to hear it.

| I try to provide comments on stuff I've listened to whenever possible, but there's never enough time to do all I might like. Quite often I'll visit a thread to find out more about a track and I'll be put off downloading it by a lack of information. If a thread says "this is the best track ever - check it out" without telling me what I'm going to be listening to, then I generally won't bother. If a thread tells me what tracks have been mashed up or remixed, and these are tracks I would be interested in hearing, then I'll make the download and may add feedback. |

i agree with everyone here cause all that has been mentioned is true. yes, most sites have leechers but what do you expect when your work is free to all registered users? at the same time, everybody won't listen to a mix and everyone won't post a comment. then there are the folks who jus' come for the acapellas.
i too have seen my stuff downloaded and no reply made but i don't worry about that anymore. unless we employ a group of members to listen and reply to our tracks (but that would just be inhumane cause that would take a lot of time, they have their lives outside A4U and they will eventually get bored and tell everyone their stuff sucks). so none of this won't change unless there are other incentives added, for example, gaining download credits or larger upload quota by posting a certain amount of topics and replies but on the flip side, we would then have ppl posting redundant and frivolous topics and it still won't mean that your track will get a reply. |
