I just finished my first drum&bass track for half a year, after working mainly on dance and breakbeat tracks for months. This track is focused more around the vocal samples and piano than the bassline.
The track's called Spira and can be heard at www.myspace.com/joeyewen
Also on my page is a dance remix of The Prodigy's No Good, which some of you may be interested in.
Cheers! |

| Out of all the tunes on your page, I really like "November Has Come" the best as it seems to have the most original sound to it. The DnB tune has potential, I'd maybe beef up the drums a bit or EQ them better, maybe layer it with a break underneath. The sound on it seemed more breakbeat ca. 1997 than DnB though. |

After the first 30 seconds or so i could tell this was going to be a great track. The samples, and the way you used them reminds me of the way pendulum used to use their samples on their early work.
I, as a producer myself, am always looking for new interesting sounds to incorporate into music in different ways and i think you have used the piano well here.
The sound that you introduce at about 00:40 (bass-like-line) sounds slightly unfitting to me, But of course that is just my preference of sound.
Well produced track.
Would you mind if i asked how long you were working on it for? |
