acheadKeymasterHi Everyone,
After the success of Fax me on the club circuit, and with some personal advice from John Acquaviva (yes you read that right) I’ve just put the finishing touched to my next track… it’s a bit more electro… and a bit darker…
There isn’t much more to say… thanks to everyone who supported Fax Me, hopefully this will all please you as much as that did!
If anyone wants a copy at 320Kbps let me know.
Enjoy!
Oh and please leave feedback

otgParticipantThat’s very bleepy indeed, much more so than the commercial crap that’s spewed forth by the majors. Loads of bass in there, dark and twisted, I’m guessing this would destroy a dancefloor… (in a good way).
One small complaint… there’s no ID3 tags on your MP3!

andycessfordParticipantyep have to agree with OTG.

Would love an 320 version to play out, I got a good gig this weekend that I would love to play it out at.Great work again fella, old Jonny boy must have had some wise words cos personally I think you have pulled another top track out the musical bag!

DJ LevantParticipantThis is an excellent tune Crin. The bass is awesome and its a real catchy tune.
I can see how this went down well in Aust – Can definately see this track cranking up in the clubs down here.

De-Fine musicParticipantNow I’ve got some time on my hands I thought I’d add my thoughts.
I’ll Start by saying that I thought the overall sound and production was pure class!
I love the sounds you used, and the use of automated reverb was spot on.The first half of the track works really well, I especially Like the change @ 2:30 stopping the bass from being the same throughout.
My only negative is that during the break @ 4:30 I thought the track was building towards a big peak section that never happened. Maybe a new lead or something could have come in and taken it up a gear before moving towards the end.
Even so, a good solid track in my opinion.

Look forward to hearing the next installment.

sebastian farleyParticipanttop tune mate ,just out of interest what synth did u use for the bass pal ,i always struggle on good synths for bass.
AdSense 336x280April 5, 2008 at 7:41 am #647218
stroakleParticipantHi there, i’ve listened the song and i love it ! Great bass, great NRG !!!
See u.
AdSense 336x280April 7, 2008 at 12:27 am #647363
JaggedGParticipantI love the build at about 3:30. The whole thing has excellent command of the lower range throughout, it’s always great to see someone who can make something sound so gritty and dirty but keep it from sounding messy and muddy. Definitely could see this turning up the heat at any rave I’ve been to, but it might be too much for any of the Top 40 type clubs we have around here.
I would also love to know what synths you’re using for the bassline! I think I heard one of the Greasy presets for the Sytrus plugin, but that’s all I could take a stab at.
Overall, I’d take this track with about 2L of l33tsauce.
If you ever make a tutorial for throwing down low-end grooves, I’ll be printing it off and taping it on my bedroom wall.

Thanks mate. Yeah i hear what your saying about 4:30. The thing is both this and Fax Me do that kinda on purpose… the reson for this is it slides into a set better this way without taking the energy too high. Both thios and Fax Me are kinda designed to keep things pumping without over exciting people.sebastian
Bass. If i had a pound for everytime i get asked this question. I don’t answer it.
The reason being I used to ask people it all the time and if someone had answered it for me then I wouldn’t have half the skills i have now. The truth is, it really doesn’t matter what synth you use as long as you EQ and filter it well! Oh go on then is use crinisawesome.dllstroakle
Thanks bud!JaggedG
Thanks for the kind words about the lower range, I spend alot of time getting this all rubbing correctly so it’s nice that people pick it out. Yeah it doesn’t work in "Top 40" clubs as you call them, or "carpet and chrome" as I like to call them, it’s aimed at a more discerning crowd. As for the bass, see above comment.
AdSense 336x280April 8, 2008 at 11:37 pm #647504
anisinaParticipantOnly one (ok two or three) thing(s) I will say. If you’re happy, then run like mad with it.
Would like to hear a little more ambience creep into the mono mix. The level of the approximate centre content is masking the reverb noted in the stereo listening. A decent mastering will surely sort that out with the use of stems and M/S correction. The bottom end is also very dominant, and is likely masking the top end, and probably reducing any ambience.
However, all is dependant on what you want it to be and what you want it to say about you.
– – – – – – – – –
PS. What bass do you use?
Jo King.

JaggedGParticipant…I cannot seem to find anything about crinisawesome.dll. It’s almost as if it doesn’t exist. I guess I’ll just mess around with a 3xOsc for a few days.
AdSense 336x280April 18, 2008 at 3:37 pm #648173
tim.gosdenParticipant…if anyone is interested, I know what synth was used for the bass patch… but I ain;t telling

Secrets of the trade will always remain secrets, funny that!
Good work dude

Tim.
