im lookin 2 get a new mac and i hear the mini macs are real good and they are also cheap... however, i was wandering if they are still powerful enough 2 run loads of plugins? DOES ANYBODY HAVE ONE ETC?
all recommendations welcome

i wouldn't bother personally. if you were considering that, you might as well as get a G4 imac or an emac.
the specs on them aren't amazing, they're really more for show and for people who don't need much from their computer except for basic functions.
I think this will be better off in the mac forum as it's not 100% audio related. |

| Not sure if this topic is considered 'dead' or not, but a Mini's specs are pretty average. And they aren't very upgradable, due to the way they were designed. You can do basic upgrades like RAM and the HD, but try sticking in a sound card or upgrading the disc drive. Not gonna happen easily. |
