Re: what genre do u makeMetal.
Hip-hop. Metal remixes of hip-hop. Also I like making rock, acoustic, alternative, etc, but that's secondary.

Re: what genre do u makeBeen making a lot more dubstep style stuff the last few years.... lso make electro/bigbeat ish stuff and some drum and bass, which was my original passion. a lot of the time i just go with the flow, and....... a lot of the time i end up making something that is never worth working on again ;)
Re: what genre do u makeHip Hop & a few underground electronic genres.
Re: what genre do u makeI've been told I've made my own genres!
Primarily I make trip hop which veers into hip hop. But at the moment I'm working on a drum n bass tune with some good old jungle/funk breaks in there, too. Whenever I hear someone elses tunes I want to try my hand at them too!
Re: what genre do u makeI grew up in Punk bands, then moved onto Indie and then Post-Rock. Through that I got into Drum Machines and started making Industrial and Noise stuff. Then I went back and started playing some No-Wave, messed around with some silly Tom Waitsy Cabaret stuff for a while and as a side project started messing about with Hip Hop and Dance Punk.
This group right here I describe as something like "Hip Hop For White People". I'm White, and Irish, and fairly middle class, what the hell do I know about "Tha Hood"? I never grew up with Hip Hop or Funk or Soul or any of that, so it'd be pretty inappropriate for me to just steal some breaks and rhymes. So instead I just use stuff that I actually grew up with. Lots of Punk, Dance, Industrial, Goth, Indie, Twee, Classical etc. I still use all the same techniques as Hip Hop, samplers, scratching, chopping, looping it just turns out COMPLETELY different! Recently I've started running my samplers through my guitar rig, just to see what would happen. I've always been fascinated with Dub, and wanted to see how I could get a stranger, more organic sound out of my set up. it sounds pretty cool, but I'm still not gig ready with it, mostly just fun vocal delays, some reverb on the odd snares, distorting the funk out of a beat, little bit of wah wah and phasers on basslines etc. It's weird, but fun as hell. I've actually managed to get a pretty decent synthesis of something like a Kaoss Pad, just not as extreme and doesn't mean I lose a hand whilst triggering samples.
Re: what genre do u makeHip hop, especially that underground Canadian music that's hard to find outside the country. There are some names here that are making moves. Every now and then we actually have a commercial success too
Anyone else listen to the likes of Classified, Sweatshop Union, The Art of Fresh, Moka Only?
Re: what genre do u makeI make a little of everything except god for saken polka.
Re: what genre do u make
Oh man, Classified! I was introduced to him a few years back by a Canadian friend, whenever we were at a party she'd always crack out The Maritimes, even though there wasn't a single other person there who understood a word of what he was saying. Man, good times ...

Re: what genre do u makeI've made all kinds; different types of hardcore, some trance, generic club stuff, rave breaks (which technically should be under hardcore, but whatever
), synthpop... I've even invented my own style, which I don't have a name for so I just labeled it SKOD ;p I guess it's a kind of a blend of different stuff anyway. Currently trying to make techno, but it's hard to make those badass percussion loops that sound good without a melody on top ;P I'll get there ![]()
Re: what genre do u makeHip-Hop/Prog. House. Hate Scouse House! Chavvy as anything! What ever floats your boat I suppose...
