junoParticipant“Not 4 the HHH!” – What do you guys think about Sasha’s new mix ‘Involver’? I’ve had the GU promo version for a while now and i just bought the full CD – I think its some of the best pieces of remix work that I’ve ever heard B4. (By the way, i have the new DJ Krush CD that just came out if anybody is interested)

Yeah the track from Grand National is probably my fav – next two would be the remixes of UNKLE’s “In a State” and “What You Mean to Me”. I would rank this mix up there with N.E. 2 east coast edition. Someone had told me that Sasha hardly did anything on Airdrawndagger – but after hearing this mix, you can definetly see his style through the similarities in sound and beats. This is what chill music should sound like! New album from Faithless is also one of my favorites at the moment.AdSense 336x280September 15, 2004 at 7:01 am #566573

junoParticipantI’ll try ACAPELLA but stuff like that can sometimes be difficult to find over here…especially on vinyl. i have a friend in Brighton who might be able to help me out……but since we have similar music interests – any other suggestions from your picks would be cool. Heres a few of mine if u havent checked these out: Charles Webster “Born On the 4th of July”, Junkie XL “Broadcast from Computer Hell Cabin”, & (this last one’s kinda Hip Hop/House/Jazz) Five Deez “Kinknasti”
One more Q if you’ve got time – what’d you think of Hybrid’s “Morning SciFi”?

“History” was their follow-up tune to Reckless Girl.
Got some recommendations for you too: Way Out West’s “Don’t look now” album and “Grand National’s – Kicking the National Habit”

junoParticipantI gotta give it to your buddy Ed – those are some great tracks. “Reckless Girl” is one of the best house/garage tracks that i’ve heard this year. I loved the feel of the instrumental and I will definetly recommend this track to my fellow DJs.
Nick Warren is a genius altogether but I liked the direction of “Intensify” more than “Dont Look Now”. That Grand National album was very good. It threw me off though because there’s a group from New York called the “Grand Nationals”.
U should check out this track if you can find it: [Andy Page vs. Marscruiser ft. George Clinton – ElemenalElectroFunk]. Its on the new Hyper mix but its also available in single version on vinyl.

Where you been living man – under a rock ? The topic of LiVE often frequents the forum and it’s a fantastic tool for the producer.

maybe the ‘Ableton’ part threw me off – i’ve heard of LIVE before but never used it. I noticed it has extremely good sound for a sequencer program – I just have to figure it out all the way. So you gonna give the contest a try ACAPELLA?AdSense 336x280September 24, 2004 at 10:55 am #566685
acapellaKeymasterNo m8 – I’d really love to – I d/l the sample pack and wasn’t really inspired by any of plus I just don’t have THE time to do it.
Good luck though
