mattschaeferParticipantHi everyone
I’m so anxious to share my acapellas with you all!
Matty here… let’s see if I can sum it all up for you. I guess I was born into music as I grew up in roller rinks and nightclubs my family owned. I’ve been Dj’ing now for over 14 years… started at those old-school roller rink all-nighters, spinning funk all night jamming on roller skates when raves weren’t talked about.
That later progressed into a love of techno and house. And my downfall into hedonism…. ahem. With years of spinning and throwing outdoor 3-day camping raves as one of three founders of "The Spiral Groove" I’ve learned what makes a party fun, and how to get people off on the dance floor. I’ve spun warehouse jams, loft parties, and apparently illegal beach parties… again, ahem. My lust for the decks has never stopped. Music is still one of the most powerful forces in my life.
Lately I’ve been bouncing around the studio working on demo cds and my own tracks to throw down. Working with other great artists has been such a momentum builder. I’ve learned from so many teachers over the years and now help fresher DJs learn the trade. From techno to tech-house, house and prog, dirty electro basslines and creative percussion.
All I want to do is make that ass shake. Peace!
