I'm thinking of buying a Mac soon just because they are so much more stable. However, I know there are a few programs I would still like to use and they aren't compatable with Macs (and yes, I'm sure about that).

I'm thinking about buying the Mac, installing bootcamp and then hopefully Vista when it comes out. My questions are:

1) Will bootcamp be able to handle Vista when it comes out?
2) Will it cause problems to the Mac end of things if I install bootcamp/windows?

Anyone know anything about that?

1) Yes, it seems like people have done it:

2) I dont have bootcamp on my mac, but I know many people that do. It has not messed anything up for them. Just make sure you RTFM before install... ;)

hehehe. haven't seen RTMF in a while.
Bootcamp/windoze shouldn't effect mac in anyway as the windows system is actually contained (like, in a capsule) within the mac os so if it has a heart attack and dies, it's not going to spread all over the place.

Hi,

I've been running vista on my Macbook and mini since vista was in beta.

I haven't had any real troubles. Although the macbook touchpad driver is not so great.

i havent really seen any kind of problem with the drivers at all. i have xp now and had vista RC1 on there for a while and it was pretty nice. the only thing you really have to watch is your space. but other than that its the fastest and most stable windows hardware.

btw... vista does take a bit of command line to get the drivers installed.
