and what cud be dun to improved whats dun so far, i think they go together, its just i dunno if they are quite at the right speed just yet, pretty hard to figure out with Acid tho lol considerin i only no how to cut and paste pmsl :lol:

Ignore the last bit where it goes Check Check Check on me toniiite from that onwards... im not havin them bits in, left them there by accident lol :oops:

Hey Storm hows it going. Its a really good idea you got there just at times some of the vocals are, i dont know how to put it i wouldnt say out of time or tune but it doesn't fit. I reckon you could be onto a good one and as you said its a start.

Was the outkast an instrumental or a midi track that you edited as ive been after th instrumental for ages.

Any chance you could give us a peek where you got it from.

Neat-o concept but it is indeed out of tune. The vocal needs to be pitched up or something, they just aren't in the same key. I do suppose they could fit rather well together. Keep at er'!

hey storm i'm liking that tune, sounds like it will be a good un, you'll have to let us know when its finished, definately one for the ipod(or any other mp3 playing devices there are outthere lol)

That's a tough one:

Should you try to match Otkast's pitch to Beyoncé's... or vice-versa?

"Check up on it" has a fixed tonal center, and "Hay Ya" has a "slipping" tonal center (Kinda "modal"... and not "tonal" like Beyoncé...).

I think you should try to pitch Beyoncé's voice half a step down after "what you see..."... and see what happens...

if you are into chords and stuff this should help:

"Check up on it" has a basic chord progression of --> Gm - Gm - D - D - D - D - Gm - Gm

and "Hey Ya" is --> Ab - Db - Db - Eb - F - F

It's a nice idea tough...
