I started working on this last night and worked some hours on it today and thought that I should post it here since it been a while since I posted any new material. It’s probably not done yet but sometimes you need some pointers to continue on it if you know what I mean
I was listening through some love songs and "Brenda Russel – Piano in the dark" came on.
I thought the chorus could make a cool clubish looped house song so I started working with it so the song is based on a 8bar sample (the chorus) and actually the last bar is just chopped up and some gates and stuff.
All custom production made mostly in Reason and mastered in wavelab. Tempo is 127BPM. Only a radio cut for now, I will probably do the full length version as I continue, at least I think Levant likes the short mixes.So suggestions and feedback welcome

First of all, you know you’re my hero. But the damn bass notes are still off! Damnit.
K, let me phrase it like this.
Start of each chorus, beat 1 – good. Beat 2 – good. Beat 3 – BAD! Beat 4 – BAD!
I do believe that Beat 3 and 4 should go up 2 semitones a piece (no keyboard to play with right now so I can’t figure it out) but I’m fairly confident that’s what needs to be done there.
Also, the bass at beat 9 is off too, but I think it was ok before you tweaked it maybe? It’s just beat 3 and 4 at the start of the bass loop that really bug me.
However, as good ol’ Steve said one time this is not the soup but the fly.
Overall an incredible, profesh mix! I love it! 4.5!!!
Perhaps we can chat later and argue over the bass notes but I stand tall on my 2 semitone change request. :p

Yeah nice vocals and upbeat tune & beats. I liked the vocal mixing but at some spots of the track it got a bit too much. Actually the vocals are awesome, are they original, who are they by?
