So it's looking pretty unanamous that this will be a gr8 idea here so - who has a firm, clear and concise way forward of how we can make this happen on the forum for everyone.?

A place where we can all share our plugin presets and vsti presets.

And herin lies the problem. Everybody wants it yet no one except acapella wants to take the responsibility of helping set it up.

This is my suggestion;

Any file uploaded should be tagged with the following information in the accompanying post:

1. Substaintially descriptive topic heading. (eg. "reason combinator electronic leads patch" or "presets for protools digirack EQIII")

2. the body of the post should contain:
a) the plugin name, version and type (fxp/fxb/aupreset/propietary type)
b) application, app version and platform the preset was created with
c) weather any additional libraries/samples/refills are required (pluggo patches/reaktor ensembles/reason sampler or combinator patches)
d) for VSTi patches that require custom sample sets, these samples should be incuded in the preset archive if they are license free.

this is what i can think of off the top of my head for now...seems like a lot of work to administer and make sure the format is adhered to.

for the record, i voted no!

It should go without saying, but, i'd also like to add...

e) A compulsory confirmation from any member who contributes, confirming they are the creator of the content and surrender all rights (present and future) to the upload(s), and any inclusion within the upload(s). This will include, that no Copyright, Royalty, and any fee(s) can be claimed by the author and/or any third party, at any time.

I think it's time we got some more views on this subject, and get it up and running.

Naaa, it was inevitable, and thats what we staff have to do, I think. It was playmaker (Chris) who's idea it was some time ago, and it got brought up between mrjynx and Chris. Chris later asked if I could give it a push, as it was raised some long months ago, and as the demand is here it's time we got it together. Especially now i'm back from my sabatical i'm happy to get in there and do so. :lol:

I'm looking forward to getting it together. :smt055

Lol, sabatical from what exactly? Have you just been given role of a Moderator recently? Never noticed the Moderator title under your username until yesterday.

I have been given the honour again recently, after Acapella parked the company BMW out side the front door with a scantily clothed female on top. :shock:

I have been a Moderator since a few weeks after I joined, and was until I was wrongfully disconnected by the company who sponsors ITV's crime mysteries stuff. But, as I am now back, and with a new provider, I have been given the badge back by the sheriff. The vast majority of my 600+ posts were replies to poor intro's, and have been deleted along with most of the old intro's. I won't miss them though. :cheesy:

Aaahh, a see. So that's why alot of your posts seemed to be moderator-like a few weeks back? Where do a sign up to get employed if that's how acapella arrives with the contract?!

There isn't that much of a rush is there?

It will happen sometime, hopefully soon'ish, but it's taken a back seat, especially with the workload, and definately with the Bandwidth issue at present.

Yeah, the good old days. I remember that conversation. In contrast, when Playmaker, yourself, and me, had that chat, the Bandwidth has gone through the roof by an extreme amount. It has increased by seriously massive amounts, and continues to do so. :shock:
