I like it! I'd love to have a place where I can just find a particular effect and whatnot without having to search the internet.

it's almost time to start actioning this poll on plugin patches and Fx. thanks for everyone whose taken part and aside from the usual replies the points worthy of mention are:

combinator reason patches..
sysex for hardware synths..

(djmythex:)

Wow...
Start over with a ULTRASAW Vsti please Smilie_PDT

Wanna get that 'Benassi Tune' and dont know how to do that right

(eddie_xs)

"brief explanation on how they went about creating it too, to help others"

(citizen jones)

tutorials about creating sounds/fx is a good idea

So overall this is a go'er and we're keen to press on with it. Now is anyone willing to get this section off the ground with me and help out with the groundwork for this new forum section.? If you are then please let me know either by pm'ing me or replying directly underneath. I wanna hear constructive ideas not just "I'll help" ok. IT would make sense of course to:

a) have a new dedicated forum section (similar to the sample packs)
b) to make use of the file attachment feature.
c) demand a little write up documenting what the plugin/patch/preset actually is and specifics about which version etc etc..
d) it;s all about groundwork Smilie_PDT

Really looking forward to this!

Absolutely, im always happy to give new VST's a try.
I have found some "homemades" to be a little restrictive, but if they are rewire it!

Is this a specific VST that may be distributed or is this just a general vote for "would you want one"?
If it is to be dished out, what sort of emulation will it be? are we talking pure FM or have you got something a bit fruity for us?

Either way, would love to try it out and let you know what i think, any improvements etc.

Well, seeing as we've already been given 2 homemade vsti's from members already (which are available in the samplepacks section) I reckon we'll be getting a whole load more..

but the emphasis was on plugin and vst PRESETS aswell.

My mistake, a touch hasty in my reply, i just read VST and got all carried away.

I definitely would be interested in the presets, but purely out of curiosity.
Its good to see what sounds others are coming up with but i agree with Citizen Jones that the programming of your own should be encouraged.

Presets are still a great asset to any bedroom producer who just wants to make tracks for fun. so my vote still stands at yes!

voted yes!
i think it would be a great idea to adavnce this site with an VST(i) plugin and presets download section..

first click which VSTi and in that choose to download the plugin and/or just the presets.. and then ervery "homemader" explains how its created (Plugin and preset)

that would sound to good for my ears! hope it will come, do not misunderstand me... im ready for everything!! =)

I know if I`m uploading a hundred presets, I certainly aint gona sit there and write a damn tutorial for every one... If someone cant look at a patch and understant wots been done then thats their problem, I`m not going to waste my time writting a tutorial cos some doofus cant work their damn synth...

hello mrjynx.

no one's asking you to write a tutorial for each and every preset.

what we're trying to establish here really is a format for getting this off the ground really.. thus IF each and every one of your presets are straight forward and clear to see exactly which vsti or plugin they're for then there's no problemo Smilie_PDT
