RIGHT GUYS - The time you have been waiting for has landed... well almost Just waiting till I get home so I can upload the sample pack and we can all get started.
This is a league competition, winning one round and not competiting in the other two will NOT win you this competition........ the most consistent remixer will be taking home the tag of 'unofficial acapellas4u dappa don house remixer 2005'
Each round will have a differant time limit, this is to test your production skills under pressure. The first round has a 2 week deadline from the posting of the pack, the 2nd round has 10 days from posting of pack and final has 7 days from posting of the pack. I would like to make the final deadline alot shorter but due to alot of us working to many hours im sure you can apprieciate why I made it a week.
When you have finished your track you should post it on this forum under round 1 entry - (YOUR USERNAME HERE) for everyone to hear in the house section. I will post a voting table here on the deadline of each round and people can vote for whichever track they liked best. The marking scheme is layed out on the league table page.
Anything goes in this compo, only rules are you must use EVERY sample you have been given in some way! This doesnt mean lay it untouched over your track, your free to use it in WHICHEVER way you see fit ;) Every track must be a DANCE record, this includes HOUSE, TRANCE, TECHNO, 4/4 GARAGE, US GARAGE ETC!
Every track must be your own REMIX in essence, no mashups here please people.

It's about time Pump Up The Volume made a comeback. Soz Crin but I always liked Maars better than Technotronic. It'll be hard to do it justice, it's classic.
For F*"ks sakes I'm really mad now . Sorry guys, but how many weeks have we been waiting for the PUMP UP THE JAM remix pack??? All of a sudden its now Pump Up The Volume. No wonder I was disappointed with the remix pack.
Sorry guys, you can count me out of the Pump Up The Volume. Can't stand the frigging song. Its a pity I've just wasted 2 weeks on making loops 'n vocals for PUMP UP THE JAM.

You say you hate Pump Up The Volume but this is your chance to make a version of the track you like. I must admit I was a bit shocked when I saw we'd changed tracks, and I'd done the same as you by making loops up that won't work with this new one. They've just gone into a folder for use with something later.

Dan, Why you and put second thoughts in my head. Now I'm not sure what to do. My main concern besides not liking this tune is I'm due to have knee surgery very very soon so I am really doubtful whether I'm going to have time to compete or not. Especially now that I've gotta start all over again. I don't even have the original version of this track. Will have a serious think about it again. Time is not on my side, mind you nothing ever is lol

To be fair Val you shouldnt have started before the pack was up, maybe its a good thing we changed the track............. im sure your not the only person to have done this.
Caned, to be fair the only reason I started was to at least try to get through the first round as you no I am having knee surgery in 8 days time.
This is the first competition I've entered so just wanted to at least feel the buzz in the first round. Sorry you feel that way.
You can't just take another track and then drop these samples over it. It needs to be your own production with each of the samples provided used at some point within it.
Hey beats alliance, change of plan cos theres people still wanting to enter im not adding people to the table until the first rounds over, that way whoever submits a mix on that day is in, and it stops me having to update every 5 mins. Hope you understand bro
Just downloaded the song on iTunes to get some ideas. When I was the sample pack I didn't realise that this was a remix, it looked like someone had collected some samples that we had to use in our tune thingy lol
Almost done mine. I tired something new and did some funky house. I got a sexy sounding sax and a awesome bass with powerfull drums and percussion to top it all off
