Any in a City that just won't grow with the music?
Or should I say, the 'Big" DJs in your town don't want any other sound besides their own to be played?
I just moved to San Diego from Itlay/Japan & it's still the same sound as 10yrs ago. I mean house music has most def grown since banging house was big & deep house is the s**t, but what about the mass % of folks that just want to shake their ass to 'House'?

| i know what he's talking about. there are so many sub-genres of house its unreal, clubs that only only a type of house (in my opinion) is stupid, mix it up a little. throw in some progressive, tribal, funky etc. |

I aint had a good vent in a while, I`m probably a house DJ, but I hate to say so cos house here in the UKs Sooo cr*p...
Its like were going backwards...
Its lost all definition, listening to the radio and stuff recently (I know I shouldnt, it only stresses me out).. for example, I can hear a house mix of a track, and i seriously have to sit there for a good minute to fugure out if its the original or a remix, the only difference between to two been a kick drum and a flangy swooosh..
Its all become soo bland, wots happend to powerful vocals and anthemic riffs, ie, tunes that can be sampled for the next decade...
Damn that bloody Eric prydz.. (I loved call on me [best dance video EVER])
but the legacy he`s left behind, just sucks...
and if I hear Aniya Day murder another one of my favorite tunes, well.. I`m gona hit her with a stick...
I know people say "well if you dont like it, dont listen to it"...I agree, but I`m being pushed into such a corner here....
Will young being voted Britains favorite artist (I think).. Every other song on the radio, being either hip hop (some guy going on about how great he his, or getting some sexy chick to say how great he is)... or some bland house track you wouldnt be afraid to play to your grand parents...
I`m losing the will to live here.... and I dont care if you think I`m opinionated... ahhhhh... (and relax)... |
