hi all....
im new here and need someone to point me in the right direction. Im understanding the vocal extraction method(phase inverse...) only im having a problem finding tracks to use this method. I have tried mp3s and read around and due to their compression wont work.
I ordered a 12" of an old 80s track to try seperate the vocals n music only when i recieved the vinyl it has the club mix and the instrumental but the instrumental is longer in length and a little different than the club mix.
Where can i find cd quality or wav files of tracks which contain the instrumental so i can perform the extraction?
please help!
cheers!

I havent tried converting mp3s into wavs for the purpose of extracting the vocals..
... does that work? even if you start with an mp3 sample that is 100kbps or some really s**t quality mp3? i was told you have to get cd quality tracks to do the phase reverse?
anyone else....? |

It's hard to find the *exact* high quality instrumental to match the song, even on P2P software. From what I understand, the best way to do that is ripping them from the original CD or ordering them, and even those have their flaws.
