Sounds pretty cool although I think the synth is a little too loud in the mix, and you could do with really compressing those drums to punch thru the track. Maybe add some nice pads in the background to sit a long side the synth riff.
Keep us posted |

Thanks for the comments! I literally started only 30min ago... I havn't mixed it, eq'd, compressed, etc.. yet.
I've programmed the lead synth.. actually it's the same as benassi's , but i'm gonna change it up so it doesn't sound the same. Trust me.. it's phat!! |

This already sounds awesome. I don't think it requires 'toning down' or anything - i'd leave it as is. The drums MAYBE could use a little push, but the big obtrusive synth is what Benassi's songs are all about, no?

| I agree with you to a point but I feel that his trademark is not just the synth, but the way the synth and the drums fight with each other. Compression, reverb and high passfilters are a slight trademark too. |

I agree. It's the gated reverb tails, compression and filtering. The synth is easy but putting it all together.. that's the trick.
I haven't automated the long reverb tails yet.. I think it sounds awesome.. (Have it in a couple of my other tracks) still learning though:) |

| I had a play around with a similair synth sound a few weeks ago and emulated the benny sound pretty well with Albino. It has it's own inbuilt reverb which is quite nice and mechanical sounding. I might get around to posting it at some point |

I used the monolouge synth in Cubase.. it's really easy. Used the House bass patch.. turned up the freq., lowered the octave, added some gated reverb with a predelay and automated it a bit.. done.
Any vsti can do it... it's just a saw waveform tweaked a bit. |

Any luck yet?? If not.. you can send me your midi score and I'll make u a 4 or 8 bar loop in wav format:)
Have a listen... I just added some drums, percussions, and a little automation. |
