Shocked Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Shocked

What is the best way to take vocals out of a song??
I understand that I will end up with some instruments in the background, but i will just remix over the top of it!!
ANY TIPS?
& yes i have tried looking 4 the Acapella, but no luck!!
the song I'm remixing is FREAK by SILVERCHAIR,

HERE SOMETHING THAT WORKS GOOD,
but i am just hoping that somone else has a trick up there sleeve!!!

Well if you dont have any luck finding the Accapella. You should be able to isolate the center channel and grab the vocals.
Most old music is much easier to rip the vocals.

Arrow Here's how to do it the easy way in Sound Forge 4.5 and on..
1) Open the original audio file.
2) Choose Edit>Select All to select all the data in the file.
3) Choose Process>Pan/Expand.
4) In the Pan/Expand dialog box, choose the Normal Mix Of MS Recording preset.
5) Click OK.
6) Choose Edit>Selection>Set.
7) Choose Left in the Channel parameter drop-down list.
8. Click OK.
9) Choose Edit>Copy.
10) Choose Edit>Paste Special>Paste To New.
11) Save your new audio file.

ANY MORE GOOD TECHNIQUES IN EQ or FILTERING . PLEASE TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!!

just so i can get the Vocals more promanent than the rest of the mix!!!
I've tried lots of BP EQ's and stuff, but i am just hoping that somone has a trick up there sleeve!!! Confused

Your saying that you are looking for the acapella of freak by silverchair? I heard that sh**s ULTRA RARE but somewhere it is floating around the net. You should check out the silverchair acapella I uploaded onto the site. It's tuna in the brine acapella. Thats one of the 3 SUPER RARE acapellas floating around. I gotta HELLA lucky to even find that one. The one I want the most (which is the third one) is anthem of the year 2000 acapella. And whats crazy is that one actually was released (unlike the other 2) it was on a rare cd single for ana's song and it was only released in europe. So if ANYONE has this acapella, please UPLOAD IT!
Thankz.

P.S. Your probably like who gives a **ck about some stupid acapellas, I'm talking about a way for vocal extraction. Lol.

mey DJ_Leethal, I actually found those 2 songs..." ana's song & anthem of the year 2000" while doing a search for "freak". I'm sure i put the link in my net favourites folder but did not download them. I'll see if i can get them 4 ya!! Surprised
I pretty sure acapella's of "freak" are out there, because Paul Mac has done a remix and think i've seen others to.

ps...Knockout is sick s**t!! I did alot of searching about Isolating vocals in a mix and that rarely came up, i was really suprised.
