Hi Guys (and Gals).. sorry for the disappearance. Went into the studio for two weeks and just emerged from the darkness
This is one of three remixes we did for this years Winter Music Conference in Miami. The main vocal mix is finished and we'll be mastering the other two later this week. The mixes are at the micro site we put up for the promo:

There is all kind of bio info about us and the original writer of the track Lewis Martinee and Teresa Morales.

Really appreciate all of the comments. Just you taking the time to listen means a lot.
I'm pleased with the stripped down dub mix which we just finished today. Gene and myself are into a darker, progressive sound with lots of drums and this is representative of that... (ok, I'm still a sucker for disco and funk). And the final mix down on this version has a lot more finesse and subtle effects. Takes the track in a different direction entirely.

If interested my production partner Gene wrote, produced and mastered several tracks for Jan Johnston and "Delirium" landed on Mr. Oakenfold's new CD compilation "The Club". If you get the chance to listen it's very progressive and moody.
Thank you again,

Oh where to start....
PART 1
We landed in Miami on Tuesday and proceeded to pick up our two exotic rental cars. They picked us up in the nicest Rolls Royce I've even laid eyes on. We got to the rental agency Exotic Cars, and they had our two Ferraris waiting and ready for inspection... I drove the red 360 Modena Spyder and my business partner and studio manager drove the yellow 360 coupe... We wanted to make an impression and I don’t think we could have done any better!! After the trip to South Beach, we got checked in around 6:00 pm at the Sagamore Hotel.
[Paul and my Partner Jamie]
Later on in the week I would discover that Pete Tong, Paul Oakenfold, Roger Sanchez and DJ Skribble (blah) and loads of label managers were also staying at the hotel as well (probably many others). At the pool a party was going full on with DJ Boris... not my bag at all, as he spins mostly New York Hard House. But we handed out a ton of promo T-Shirts. We went down the street to take a stroll and you could hear a different day party going off every few feet. Heard "Ghets Noch", 'Weekend' and the new "Pump Up the Jam" remix several times already. Went back to the hotel room after a few hours to make a plan for the evening.
Tuesday Evening
Paul Dailey our studio manager went to Meganite @ Space. It was all techno DJ's Mauro Picotto, Chris Liebing, Marco Carola and Sven Vath. He said it was crazy. Saw Jonathan Peters there who was also loving the music. At the outdoor terrace at 6 am he saw pretty much the whole Sunday Sessions crew up there. Low End Specialist, Stephan K & Angel Moraes were spinning.
We headed over to Magic Sessions and Soulfuric Records with Little Louie Vega,Tony Humphries at Crobar for the evening... it was slammed and we couldn't even consider leaving to go to another party.... just when I thought it can't get any crazier in there, Vega drops the accapella to "GIRL I'LL HOUSE YOU", forget it! Place went **** nuts... You could peel people of the walls. We left at 5 am and went to bed smiling.
[Louie Vega]
(this girl was junked!)^
Wednesday
We got up early afternoon and went down on ocean drive to hand out t-shirts. Parked the two Ferraris in front of the Clevelander hotel (outdoor venue) and stayed for a few hours until all the promo shirts had been given out. We heard (and could see) Gabriel & Dresden aka "Motorcycle". Good set of progressive and funky house. We took a stroll up Ocean Drive and dropped in the Leslie Hotel and Cafe featuring Scumfrog, Dave Dresden, Jody Wisternoff, Noel Sanger, Alex Graham and several more. It was a small venue but it was going off in a big way. I danced until I thought my legs were going to fall off. Heard "Pump up the Jam" (again), "Nasty Girl", "Stepping Out", "Freak On", "I See Girls", 'Weekend' and 'Owner of a Lonely Heart'... this is the track I'm going to hear all week.
[Scumfrog]
We jump in the cars and head back to the hotel to 'freshen up'.. he he. Two blocks down we walk to The National Hotel for the 'Defected in the House' outdoor day party. Looking towards the ocean you could see the DJ booth/Stage and when the sun was going down you just wanted to cry it was so beautiful. Blaze, Kenny Dope, Danny Krivit, Dimitri from Paris, Jay J, Simon Dunmore and Reel People (live PA). The vibe was untouchable.. 600 people dancing in the sand, drinking and smiling from ear to ear. We left around 8 p.m. for a bite to eat and to prepare for the evening.
Wednesday Evening
We started the evening off at Gossip Records, Spread Muzik, and NO2 @ Prive Nightclub. DJ's were Richard F, Sharam Jey, Dr. Kucho, Hott 22, Live Element, Richard Grey, Major Boys, Ralphie Romance, Audiowhores, Native New Yorkers, Groove Junkies, and Scott Lorimer. Prive Nightclub is normally (non WMC) a very social crowd with loads of beautiful people where the music is usually secondary... but not this night. Still beautiful creatures everywhere though... Heard Studio B 'I See Girls (Crazy)', Roman Flugel 'Geht's Noch', X-Press2'Give It', Deep Dish - 'Say Hello', 'Freak on", 'Weekend', Bodyrockers and 'Pump up the Jam' among others... if you've never heard of Sharam Jey (King Kong, Underwater Records / Germany) , you're missing a treat. You can check out mixes at http://www.deejaybooking.com/dj.php?id=49 His set had a lot of Guitar based tracks and listening even gave me an idea for a track to produce! I got massively drunk on Cristal Champagne and Bacardi and Cokes and danced like a fool... once again.
[Sharam Jey]
In the same complex was the Hed Kandi party at Opium Garden with Mark Doyle, Eric Kupper, Tom De Neef and a few others. We went in around 3:00 to meet Mark and say hello. Not too much excitement, a few Hed Kandi staples being dropped ('Weekend', 'Take me away') so we **** off to Crobar. No pictures at Hed Kandi because I was too drunk to hold the camera straight.
At Crobar was the TCA presents & Made in Italy Ibiza Party. Talent featured Junkie XL,Infusion,DJ Rap,Desyn Masiello,Audio Bullys, DJs Pippi, DJ Ralf, Alex Neri (of worldwide hit "Planet Funk"), Ricky Montanari, Mark T, Barbara Tucker (live), Francesco Farfa (live), and Barbara Tucker (live). But their was a rumor that Fat Boy slim was spinning un-annouced and right as we walked in he was on. I have no idea what he was spinning but it was tanked... Some track had Janis Joplin singing "Boy, won’t you buy me, a Mercedes Benz" like she had just sucked on a helium bottle.... Weird s**t Norman spins. It was hot as hell, the dance floor was 1/2 inch of mud and some dude puked in the trash can right next to us. We left around 4:30 a.m. and went on a pizza search and destroy mission.
[Norman Cook]
Three more nights to come in Part II including a very private invite-only fiasco with Shapeshifters, Radio 1 party at Nikki Beach with Tong, Sandy Rivera at Amika and many other parties!!

PART 2
Thursday
Last night before going to bed I took a sleeping pill to assist with a smooth nappy time... I also gave Jamie one and I think it worked too well!! It slammed him and he said when he woke up in his room on Thursday he was kneeling with his face in the couch and he was naked... real scary thought.
Thursday started slow with a long drive along the coast catching some rays and getting away from the crowd. I was really pumped because we had made plans to go to the "Its all Gone Pete Tong" private party being thrown by Red Bull. It was a really hush-hush affair and we wanted to be sure we were sorted on the list so we stopped by the mansion early around 3:30 p.m. Talent was to include Shapeshifters, Seb Fontaine, Jay P (Reflekt), LOL Hammond (Big Chill/Drum Club), Doublefunk and a surprise guest appearance by Deep Dish. We were greeted at the gate by a security guard and he asked us who we were there to see. I said "Pete Tong" as a joke (meaning later when the event started!)... so he proceeded to call the head of security to announce our request!! The party was still getting set-up so we sat tight while he gawked at our car. In a few minutes the label head of Positiva (Ben ??) and Anne with Red Bull strolled out. I think the Ferrari helped our case and after a quick chit-chat we were sorted to come back later with an invite. We killed some time and grabbed a bite to eat. Got back to the party around 5:30 and a queue had formed down the street, but the place was swarmed with police. I pulled up in front and was curtly told I could not park anywhere on the street... we found a spot down the road and hit the party.
We got in and Simon from Shapeshifters was on, but the volume was so low you could talk louder than the music! I started asking around and was told that the Red Bull mansion had been under scrutiny the whole week and the neighbors were quite upset... there was a tremendous amount of tension and negative energy and the party was miserable. Everyone we met was in a horrible, cranky mood... so we split. Later that evening we ran into Anne and Ben again and were told the party had been shut down with-in an hour of us leaving.
So back at the Sagamore hotel I tried to contact my business partner Jamie, but he was still sleeping off the pill... So I went down to the hotel pool for the Thrive Records party. It was in full gear as the sun was just starting to set and Sandra Collins was half way into a slamming funky house set. I knew Sandra from Las Vegas where I lived for 8 years. Sandra was known for progressive trance so the set was a nice surprise. No track ID's other than Richard F 'Thrills, Pills, Daffodils' as I was starting on the first of many drinks...
[Thrive Records Pool Party]
[Sandra Collins]
I knew nothing about the party so I had no idea who was scheduled to play... and then I see Sharam from Deep Dish standing in the booth. I though he was just hanging out, but next thing I know he's preparing to get on the decks! Lot's of bombs dropped... "Owner of a Lonely Heart", "Say Hello", Juliet "Avalon (Guetta & Garraud Remix)", Narcotic Thrust "When the Dawn Breaks", and Steve Lawler vs. King Unique "Soul On Ice".... about 20 minutes in, my jaw dropped as Ali joins him. It's as rare as dinosaur crap when they both spin together, so I was in for a massive treat. David Guetta "The World is Mine", "Flashdance", U2 "Vertigo (Redanka Power Mix)", and a re-edit of Syntax "Bliss".
And they danced and danced....
[Sharam - Deep Dish]
[Sharam + Ali]
Ok... 10:00 pm and I'm wrecked and solo at this point. Hmm.... solo and with a red exotic sports car. Damnnnnnnnnn. I changed and hit the SoBe strip with no plan of what was next.
Thursday Night
First stop was Amika for Defected in the House II with Martin Solveig, DJ Gregory, Sandy Rivera (Kings of Tomorrow), Soul Central (Andy Ward), Dennis Ferrer, Franck Roger, Danny Marquez, and Oli Lazarus (Reel People). Great start, I stayed for a few hours and caught Soul Central and a bit of Oli Lazarus. Real deep house and not many track ID's...
Then off to Club Prive' with George Morel, Ron Carroll, Danny "Buddha" Morales, DJ Oliver, Armand Pena... chugging funky house with Bon Garcon 'Freek U', Audio Bullies 'Bang Bang', Shape 'back to basics' (Steve Lawler mix I think), Freemasons 'Love on my Mind' (FINALLY!), C-64 'On a good thing', Hott 22 'B4 I let you In', Steve Mac 'Lovin you More' and Van Helden 'Your Eyes'... the mixing was not so good but the vibe was redic and I was sweating so hard I looked a mess... who didn't. After closing, I took a drive back to the hotel for a change into dry clothes. The strip was packed and I couldn't drive faster than walking speed... so every stop light I was accosted by beautiful creatures DEMANDING to take a picture with me... er, the car.
But I'm not ready for Thursday to be over yet.. so I stop in at Mansion "OM : A Decade of Future Music" with Mark Farina, Kaskade, Colette, Marques Wyatt, Greenskeepers (LIVE), Andy Caldwell, Groove Junkies, DJ Sneak and a load more. I get to jam a bit more with DJ Sneak on the decks and decide to call it a night after I close Mansion. On the way back into the hotel at the bar is Ben from Positiva and Anne from Red Bull from the busted Red Bull party. They said they were looking to reschedule the private party for later on in the weekend, but I never heard back... must have been the way I looked so early in the morning with no sleep ;)
In Part 3, Nikki Beach with Radio 1, Milk 'n' 2 Sugars at Amika and Paul van Dyk, Ferry Corsten and Sander Kleinenberg at Space.
Thanks for reading this mess!

PART 4
Friday
After another 3 hour sleeping marathon we're off to Nikki Beach for "Pete Tong's Essential Selection" live. DJ's that appeared were Tong, Chirs Cox, Gadjo live, Juliet live, Sandy Rivera and Ali from Deep Dish. This is one of the top parties I have been waiting for all week and it did not disappoint. There were half naked bodies everywhere... I heard it was a 3-4 hour wait to get in as it was a free party. We got into the VIP area behind the stage and EVERYBODY it seemed was there hanging out. Armand Van Helden, Timo Maas, Smokin' Jo, James Zabiela, Sharam Jey, Max Graham, Seb Fontaine, Sara Cox | | | |
