[quote quote="juno":1b40odgd]I only have RCA (Phono) outputs – no XLR or TRS
Its a Numark DXM-06……i know, i can hear you now fgp303, “the dxm-06 is shit” – but hey, i have to live within my means
I’m not too interested in making mix CDs right now – what I want to do is use my tables to record sounds, loops, and live mash-ups into a software program.
I really just want as much “bang for the buck” when it comes to sound quality if you know what i mean. Something maybe in the $200 range.

Hehe i now say shit but i not really like numark… its one of the standard bedroom mixer i only like the pioneer djm-600 (which good for work but nothin special + dont like the soundquality). If u want record in good quality u can do two think first try buy a soundcard around 200bux and after go truogh teh signal than ur mixer which is not to good i think (i try be maximalist) buy an external RIAA corector (just good not buy toy) liek this:

i buy one from this at 91usd (usualy price between 50-450usd depending who sell it) its a symetric device but u can use in asymetric mode and choose card for 110bux. (this riaa corrector better than any mixers built in one). later if have more money try pick up a Motu 1224 system from ebay or anywhere.

like this if need digital in/outs with analog but i prefer the Motu 1224 its around same price.
or send it to me and i can caprute the vinyl if its really important or maybe not need send the disc cos i have some tousands of 12″ maybe u want same what i have…
